i block sanded the epoxy primer on the cab the other day, did it with 80 grit to scuff it up good, then used 180 on it.
shot a shoddy coat of 2K primer on it... cheap gun I have isn't spraying wet enough, so i'm gonna get another one and re-prime the 2K... pic updates after i re-sand/shoot the primer |

talked to my engine builder Monday, they have the long block done, all but the pushrods, they had to order a different length for the new cam.
hopefully they can throw the tins on it in the next few days and get it done, can't wait to get it installed! |

don't have my camera at the moment, so no pics... but i stripped all the hardware/glass out of the passenger door, and sanded the outside to bare metal, will do the other tomorrow i hope before it rains...
i'll hand sand the hard to get to stuff and hopefully prime them in a day or so... will get the camera from the wife and upload some pics tomorrow |

my Olds 455 is done, will get down to SC as soon as I can to get it, will be glad to get the damn thing in... only took a year to get it built :)

Block bored .030 over Honed with torque plates Decked Mains align honed Crank turned/polished .010/.010, straightened Factory rods reworked, ARP bolts Factory high compression pistons advertised as 10.25:1 - i'll have to calculate true ratio when I verify the cc of the heads Hastings moly rings Clevite main/rod bearings Melling high volume oil pump/pickup/drive rod Rotating assembly balanced with dampener and flex plate installed Clevite cam bearings Bullet hyd cam - .512 lift 230/284 duration on both int/ex on a 110 LS Matching valve springs 110lbs closed, 285lbs open Cloyes true double roller timing set Heads reworked with new hardware - I had larger 2.07 int and 1.68 exhaust valves installed, performance valve job New lifters/pushrods/rocker arms Stock 4 barrel intake Modified 800cfm Quadrajet, 76 main jets - 48 primary rods - DB secondary rods Chrome valve covers All Felpro gaskets Painted original GM blue 450+ horsepower 500++ torque Nice sleeper :) Thats about it... if I remember anything else i'll post it Will post pics of it when I pick it up, hopefully soon |

I have 2 new 16gal saddle tanks and new sending units for my 86 from Rock Auto...
Would like to trade for an aluminum fuel cell + sending unit that i can mount in the bed... prefer at least 22 gallons |

took the bed back off.... block sanded the first coat of primer on the cab.... going to spray the second coat tomorrow... going to primer the fenders as well... will post pics after that...
pressure washed the inside of the bed, will start sanding the outside of the bed over the next several days |

sprayed 2nd coat of primer on the cab...
sanded the bare metal on the fenders with 180 grit... sprayed the fenders with their 1st coat of primer... sanding the doors to bare metal, hopefully will prime them tomorrow... |
