89' crew cab 5/7 drop, blazer seats, led lights(inprogress) 454 w/a kick edelbrock inj system, MSD ign, Flowmaster, and just a few little things inside but im not 100% sure what all is done. locked rear axle (makes for a few austin powers turns in tight spots) Has no problem draing the fuel tank and in return will light up all 4 rear tires on demand, even at a 20 mph roll.

Yes there was some body work that had to be done, I had to fill in the three holes in the cab from the old cargo light... http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/IMG_3734.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/IMG_3732.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/d9a90fb2.jpg ...then had my buddy who did all of my body work including the paint to put some filler on it and then repaint the whole roof. http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/f57187e6.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/46ebf31a.jpg |

RFox
The horn and windshield wipers were both running under water. We towed it out with a 6 wheel Power wagon. The air cleaner was upside down and the water was filled to the top so we pulled the plugs and cranked it over.It acted like a pump and the water was hitting the wheel wells pretty good.Next thing that happened was the dipstick popped out as the engine was full of water.I pulled the plug until oil started coming out and started it right up. We almost made it home when the fuel filter plugged with water.Three filters later it was running real good so I took it on a road trip and burned up the power steering pump. About two weeks later both rear wheels locked up on the highway as all the oil floated out while it was submerged. Lynn |

:jdp: There must be an interesting story (or a lot of alcohol) behind that picture.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
RFox, that dually is just exactly the way i would build it. Already have a 500 caddy & 400 tranny out of a hertz just waiting. What type of motor mounts did you use? Looks good but I bet it's a handfull around those tight twisties in Ashville.
|
Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
CST69, not sure of the mounts a buddy of mine built the motor and installed it 8 years ago but me and him are rebuilding the carb tomorrow so i will ask! and ya it gets a little tricky in the curves if you stay in it. . . . . . . like i like to!
