Re: My new project 86 Silverado
A lot of g bodies came with Chevrolet 350’s not Oldsmobile
So you have to make sure they’re for an Oldsmobile 350 engine Most likely any header from a small block Oldsmobile car should fit in A c10 Yes a ford roller rocker will fit the 350 For a mild engine I recommend comp cams magnum 1441-kit roller rocker kit for small block olds, available at jegs https://www.compcams.com/catalogsear...Category_Code= |

If it wouldn't cost me as much as it did for you to build the engine to ship it up here to Canada i would seriously think about it lol. That said...I may idly look for a 455 to drop in place of my 350 and drop the 350 into my '69 now that i know what mounts would be needed. Granted i will need to get some of the frame mounts themselves from a 73-87 C10 to convert to the newer clamshell mount. Though at the same time i kinda wonder what it would take to drop an Olds into a GMT400 chassis. Im in the process of buying an old rat rod i had once owned back. Except that in the years since i had it the body has been swapped to a '93 C1500 chassis to gain modern suspension and braking. |
