Next thing was to install a factory tach for my V8. At the same time I installed an air pressure gauge for the future bag install. Thanks go to Paul (PT'S 70 CST) for helping me come up with a way to manufacture an air line fitting for the back of the air gauge. I used all NOS gauges except for the tach.

I also installed a great working AM/FM factory radio that I got from a board member. Got a new speaker for dash and she sounds good considering the ancient technology.

Here is a little C/10 Club get together at the A&W, recognize the board memebers? And no we weren't the only ones there, just the first there and last to leave.

Time to deal with the rear end. I got a good used 3.07 posi rear end from Devin (DSIGH) and it was time to loose the old 3.73's. At the same time I went ahead and notched the rear with a CPP notch. Thanks go to Lodi Transmission for helping me to set the back lash of the rear gears.

Next I bought a van tilt from the Stockton swap meet. I then had Kevin (KevsClassics) totally restore it. Let me tell you Kevin does awesome work and takes care of his customers, anyone who needs help with their tilt need to contact Kevin. Kevin even installed it for me and pushed the column further in to give more cab room.

Back in October you may have heard, or should of heard of, the world famous 7th Annual C/10 Club Get Toghether at Rene's (C/10 king) house. What a blast and I can not wait for the next one. Anyways here are some pics of the caravan that I help put together. Many board members and a few of my friends were in for the hour plus drive to Rene's house. We stopped at a couple places to pick up more people along the way.

One more of Rene's. I bought a plain aftermarket tailgate of CL for $80 and while I don't like the plain style I couldn't pass up the price for a new gate. I got a great used tailgate band from David (one of the flying Gamez Brothers ) and installed it. I know its not correct for a 68 but it looks better than the plain gate IMO. The steering wheel was something I toyed with useing but it was just to small. I'll keep my stocker, it has really grown on me :)

Since the truck will eventually be repainted I decided to play with the patina. Funny story, I always get people who tell me they love the patina on my truck. I say thank you then wonder why nobody can tell the difference between patina and an old paint job that's peeling  Anyways I rubbed it down a little and there you go.

Couple more. I bought a sway bar from a guy a while back for $10 and my friend Kieth (thats how he spells it) gave me the sway bar mounting kit so I finally installed it. Hands down one of the best upgrades you can do.

Ok here is a dissapointment. I wanted the rear a little lower so I sell the CPP
5" rear drop springs and get a set of ECE 6" drop springs. Can you see a difference?!?!

Was tired of the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheels and since I work at a muffler shop exhaust can be changed just for fun. I ran it on the outside of the frame rails cause of the tight clearances between the rails. I like it but now there is a little drone around 1500 rpms. Oh well I think it looks better.

Great update! I enjoyed it so far, looking forward to more. If you want to bag it eventually you should buy two bags for the rear and just shrader valve them for now. Just an idea...

Well the only thing that wasn't black on my interior was the saddle door panels. I wasn't ready to buy some panels yet cause I think I want to go with actual 68 door panels. These panels were given to me by good ole buddy Steve, man he has really blessed me with some parts. Anyways I got a can of Dupli-color and let it fly painting the panels and arm rests. Looks ok for now.

Ok on Saturday I come into work and my truck is pulling hard to the right so I put it on the alignment rack and take a closer look. Well what I find is a huge bubble in the left front tire, ok time for some tires. I decided a while back to go back to the steelies so here ya go. I'll still need new rear tires but they will work til after the Turlock Swapmeet at the end of the month.
