Some more updates today. Still have metal work to do on firewall, but we are getting closer. Waiting for the torque tube to make it's way back from Gamel to make sure the engine is in the exact spot before finishing firewall.

Finally have the front end all lined up and ready to make more attractive core support mounts.

Sorry for the hiatis...
Finally back on things. Chassis was off a little bit so we had to take the cab mounts off the pass side and zero in the cab and front end assembled before welding back on the mounts.
Well, mounts and and the front mounts are tacked on too. Everything is lining up nice now and centered...

And to anyone that may have purchased an old truck or parts from Johnny Junk in Queen Creek, AZ... R.I.P. Johnny. He had a big personality and loved traveling across the country in search of old trucks.

I was asked about the frame rails, so I thought I would post a few pics of the chassis. This is before several cross rails were added after the body was mounted.

Anybody have one of these laying around by chance? I'm missing one. Happy to buy and pay for the ride. This is one of the inside front cab mount washers.

i have used the similar washer from a front strut on a newer car. cant remember which car though. i always keep those for future uses like this. you could try a front end shop, maybe they even have one laying around.

Here are some updates. Slowly coming together. I bought the corvette wheels and wanted to stick with the Corvette Z06 factory wheel size and offset. I have to split the rear fenders and add about 1-3/8".
Here is the Mar-K bed coming together. raising the floor about 4-1/4" too.

The rear tubs are cut down factory fleetside inner tubs.

This build is over the top, I think you have done this kind of thing before, LOL. When I read through this build I check out what you are doing with the truck and then look at the background to see what other cool rides you have in the shop.

I have built a few Corvettes over the years and love the cove(bullet) on the side. I want to keep this truck 50's with the 59 Impala dash and decided to see what the Corvette cove would look like on the side.
I didn't like it so I thought I would see what it looked like with just the Spears behind the front tire and the same color as the body. I like it.
I changed my mind on the color combo too...

Starting back up in March. Been getting dusty and just finishing some other work. I'll get some new stuff posted soon.
