Nice. I really like the work on the rear bumper. It has a much cleaner and more natural look.

Thanks, I still need to line it up and I might pull it in about an inch. I took a pic of the cable mounts (need a little grinding) but I still haven't found latches, guess I'll have to order them.

Does anybody know where i can get a 1" body lift, i'm trying to match the bodyline on the cab to the bed.

finally got it out of the garage to see how it looks since we cut it, I love it. Now i need to find a 1" body lift and fix some minor problems to drive it around a bit before i jump into the motor swap and body work.

I got my jeep where I want it for now, and I got my trail trip in. We did about 100 miles of trails and all the hard work was worth it. I did an 8.8 swap, 4.10 gears, sye, control arms, bushings, wheels/tires, aussie front locker, dorman header, and all new stainless brake lines

Anyway i got my jeep fix in and i'm jumping back into the chevy.

My buddy and I went through the 355 roller motor I had bought about 2 years ago. My brothers buddy claimed it only had a few thousand miles on it. I figured since it had been stored awhile I should check it out and verify his claim. It was nasty on the outside but spotless where it matters.

I'm planning on digging into the metal work soon. I want to replace the fenders, doors, outer rockers, cab supports, and corners and I want my lines as straight as possible. So any professional advice is welcome. I plan to hang the new doors and fenders and line them up, then cut the corners and rockers off. Line up new rockers and corners with doors and fenders tack weld them then cut the cab supports and tack on new ones. I plan to pull the doors and fenders and finish weld everything while still on the frame. Like I said advice is wanted here, I've done rockers, corners and supports but never all at once.

Not sure if I'm gonna use them or not but I picked up some 35" bfg km2's on 20s. They are like new with only a few thousand miles on them. I couldn't pass them up for $500 considering the tires are $600+ a piece.

I've been putting off the rust repair on my cab due to the arctic cold winter we've had. So I started searching for a clean rust free driver while I built my truck. I checked out 3 69-72 blazers in Michigan in the $8-13000 range. After driving halfway across the state to look at garbage, I began searching Arizona. I found a few on cl and gave my uncle a call, now I'm waiting on my 72 blazer with 68 front clip to arrive. If it's as clean as it looks I might consider selling the c10, I think the blazer will be a better fit for the family.

Great build so far. I am in the same boat as you. I have an 86' K10 short bed that was perfect for just me and the wife but with the arrival of my son it is just impossible to wheel in now that he is almost 2 years old. Found a nice completely original and all working 84' K5.
