As for towing... I would not recommend towing with frame that has been notched. |

Will the inner notch cap be one piece or two? It appears that the upper portion is left open- where the notch rests on the axle tube when aired out. The two pieces here with the stubby little ratchet:lol:: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1213243556 |

Finally have it 99% buttoned up.
A couple changes include: -Upper bag mount/bridge favors the 73-87 kit. -Rear four-link bracket is a weld on piece. Sorry for all the guys hoping that this would be 100% bolt-on, as I had originally intended. In order to get the link bars as close to the chassis as possible (for larger tires) I found it necessary to remove the trailing arm perch fron the axle tube and weld the bracket in place. The bracket is a two piece design, one bracket welds to the axle tube, and the other bolts over it and incorporates the four-link mount, bag mount, and shock mount. I made it modular in order to have some flexibility for fine tuning it with rvarying ride heights and or shock combos. |
Re: Dropmember Rear 63-72 Spy Pic
I don't have any trouble setting pinion angle myself but, Will there be some sort of locator once the old perches are removed or will this be a get out the measurin' stick and angle finder type of set-up?
just curious cause the magnet on my angle guage fell off and broke the guage so I'll get another if need. Josh |
