I removed my bumper guards and polished them as good as I could. Any ideas on how to fix the top carriage bolts spun hole and the bottom bolt that's snapped off? The bottom one i would think you could drill/mill out, but not sure what bolt will fit though such a tight space.

That looks GREAT! How'd you go about doing this? Was it awful putting it on & where'd you get this? That wrap looks fantastic

Re: Schni's Blue 1983 K10
Wow....I can't believe you cut up a nice Silverado bezel just for the radio-the 88-91 Suburban bezels are easy to find and are already setup for the 1.5 DIN opening. Heck, I even have about 5 or 6 of them. The wrap does look good though-nice job.

Re: Schni's Blue 1983 K10
My bezel was already cut out for the single din radio buy the PO. I bought the vinyl on ebay (m2-racing is the name of the store). They have several styles and colors and different pre cut sizes. Putting it on was pretty easy but like all other interior work make sure you clean it real good before attaching the vinyl.
I used a xacto knife and a plastic scrapper. Since the surface is flat you shouldn't need a heat gun. After cleaning I laid the vinyl on the bezel and used the plastic scrapper to work it into shape and the carefully trimmed off the areas needed. There are multiple videos on Youtube that show how to cover items with the vinyl. |
Re: Schni's Blue 1983 K10
Did you apply the vinyl then cutout around everything?

I also got my new door locks in. Really easy, just take out a couple screws from door panel, remove window handle clip, unclip door panel from door. then remobe a tab keeping in the lock. the rest you can see from there
