Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

I thought he was talking about the upper rear gate being blue instead of white, but now that you mention it, I don't see a R rear door handle!

Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

Rereading my post I do see the confusion. I was refuring to the liftgate or hatch and the third door handle (or lack of).

Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

Thanks Frizz. I just got it a few months ago and have just now gotten around to posting pics. Affectionately known as "The Big Banana", All it really needs is paint/body work and a/c work. But we all know how it goes when we tell the wives: "I'm just gonna do this......" It's from California, so NO RUST!! WoooHooo! One big dent on drivers quarter and a few small dents elsewhere, but it's gonna be an easy fix. I like the rear swaybar setup on your burb. Is it a kit or shadetree engineering? How do you like it?

I like "the Big Banana"! :gmc:
Did I just write that?

Really, that's a beaut and an unusual burb: A yellow, two-toned GMC. I'm surprised it looks so great with yellow. I probably wouldn't have thought so had I heard it described with no pic. Great find, too. California burbs do often survive the decades relatively unscathed.

Do you have the after pics... Is it a total loss?

no, they tried fixing it, but during the time that it took to fix, it sat in the rain and now the rockers are rusted and the tailgate is rusting. I dont have the ability to fix it myself, so I am looking for someone who can work it out.

If my camara did not go on the blink I would post a new picture of my "Banana" for you. I think it looks really good. But I like yellow trucks. :) Will be going in a car show tomorrow if it does not rain. I have one of those throw away camars but will put the pictures on a disk and see about downloading some pictures of the show.

Im jsut about finished rebuilding the stock drum brakes. We just installed a 350 out of a 94 caddy. I have ART strongs arms planning on installing those once I get the rest of the disc brake conversion parts. Id love to get ART rear setup for it.http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...0burban017.jpghttp://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...0burban022.jpghttp://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...0burban019.jpg
