Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Yes i did. Even replaced it. Have no power going in to the cab other then the main ignition wire. The hot wire that goes from switch to where ever it comes from is dead. Am going to look at it today.

I am getting a little side tracked with trying to paint parts of my truck. Was started as a "cheap" simple paint fix. Well like 70 bucks in paint and 300 in tools later i have driver side rear silver area done. Kinda doug into my motor money. Trying to stay on track. Hope i can get it all together soon so i can mill heads flat and install new cam and throw that sucker in. Befor summer is over. Cant wait to see yours in and see how well they run with carb. Will deff light a fire under my can.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

They will work but will have to shave some off frame. Not really wanting to do that. I only have one of them too. I really want long tube but no one makes them. If some one i corona californa would call the big manufacrer there they would get a free set. Not sure what one is there. But 0 companys make them for now. Shon with DT will not even answer question about them i asked a few weeks ago.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

seems like a mid length from another vehicle would work. Hedman makes some, probably would just need to find the design specs to see how long etc. to try and find a fit.

I had '70-'77 SBC f-body headers on my truck when I put in the SBC. If I had to do it again with the LSx (and I do )...I'd probably try a set of those vs getting the DT's with the too small for a big head 6.0/6.2's....little 1 5/8" primary.

With my luck i would get a set and they would not fit and the company would not take them back. Am hopeing someone comes out with set befor i need them badly. May just try the factory ones for now or sanderson makes a block hugger set they say SHOULD fit. But they are like $450 ceramic. But only like 13/4 tubes. This has ben the only prob so far.
