That stinks. I guess it'll be good scrap then  People never seem to surprise me...instead of undoing about 12 bolts they hack a frame and then take the time to weld it back and have an unsafe truck in the end...maybe there was front frame damage before anyways???

Is the rear posi or std? Still probably could get 100-150 or so for the front crossmember with 5 lug stuff

Yep the frame I would be scared of. I'm going to cut the cross member and rear out sometime this week and trash the rest. The cab is pretty bad also, around the windshield channel looks solid but that's about all it has going for it.

I haven't checked the rear yet. Anythings possible this truck was pieced together from spare parts by some guy that has a thing for galvanized sheet metal and hacking stuff lol.

Got my seat back yesterday. I will take some better pics when I have someone to help me get it out of the truck. He is working on the door panels now.

I'm not sure what they are from I think 73-up blazer.
I'm going to sell them.

I think I will just keep these lol I don't really like the taillight cooling option.

Anyone know what these seats are from?

Re: Project I did it again

Probably a 73-75 blazer. I have a set in my garage. The bracket on the passenger flips forward to let the back seat passenger in. They are almost identical to the much more expensive 69-72 buckets but the brackets sit higher and the seat backs are an inch or so taller....

Any recent progress?

Re: Project I did it again

No major progress. Ive been driving it a little close to the shop, and fixing the gremlins that pop up. The engine has started smoking and sounds like something is loose in the front cover I'm not going to mess with it.

I'm trying to get everything together for the short bed frame so I can swap the body. I need to finish stripping it so I can take it to the sand blasters. Then I plan on killing my bank account at early classic next week.

I keep going back and forth on what engine and trans I want to use. One of the pluses of having lots of unfinished projects is I have some nice stuff sitting around.

I have a 454 torque monster that was going in the 65 C30 but I have to buy a overdrive Trans to handle it maybe Tremec TKO600

I also have a 383 LT4 with 4L60 that is fresh but I need to assemble the motor, which the rest of the parts I need to buy optispark and roller lifters, injectors, then get the heads done will be almost as much as the trans for the 454

I also have a somewhat sketchy used 327

well i beleive a nice 4bbl edelbrok 1407 carb on a 327 with a 350 would be perfect and since we are throwing around ideas get some 67 68 side door panels that are covered and the same color green those would look nice but i still need to see where your going with the interior

I might use the 327 temporarily but It needs to be gone through. I only have 1 TH350 and that's broke. Overdrive is a must anyway, I drive on the Interstate a lot .

I'm going with the black interior. Those green buckets are going to be sold.. The door panels I might get redone I haven't decided if I like them. The cloth is where the ribs are on a stock metal panel. (they are black just look brown in the pic)

Well I am getting another some assembly required 67 6cyl longbed with a lot of resto work done from VA72C10. I'm going to use the parts to build 2 trucks.
The plan is to get the green truck together as a somewhat original 6cyl driver. The new cab doors and front clip are going on the short bed frame and it's going to get all the mods.
I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon.

Here are some pics I snatched from when it was for sale on here awhile back.
I will take more when I get it home.

Here are a couple pics of the new one. I left my camera at home and my phone went dead so I'll get more tomorrow. I got the bed off and pushed it in the shop that's about it.
