Could be.

doesn't the hood and roof look more like a 60-66?

It looks like a ford to me. Look in the background of this picture.

Looks like a 57-60 Ford. Look at the bed and the way the siides tilt up. Isn't Google Maps fun. I was always getting letters from the HOA about my motorhome being parked in front of my house, but it was only on the Friday before I left and the Monday when I came back. Google maps has a picture with my motorhome in front. They now have the streetview and though I haven't had my trailer in front of my house more than 10 times in the last 2 years it's in the street view. Timing is everything

A soon as I saw it I thought it was a 59 ford give or take a year.

Re: What is this Truck?

Hopefully I'll find out Monday what it is.
I feel conflicted on this one.
Some of you know of my search for my Lost 65.
Well, through a reliable source I was given the address. It's quite a drive, so I typed the address into Google Maps. Zooming in shows this white truck in the drive. It doesn't show up in street view, and this is the strongest zoom before it jumps to street view.
I was just wondering if that white truck looks like a 65 shortbed stepside to anyone.
Eitherway, the source is reliable, and it appears to be a regular driver for the owner.
I'm conflicted because I want to see it, but I don't want to freak out the owner by showing up at his door.

Re: What is this Truck?

If it turns out to potentially be your old truck, you might try sending a letter to the house address explaining your history with the truck, along with an old photo, phone number and your return address. That way the residents can consider the information without feeling assaulted by some stranger appearing at the door.

That's a great suggestion.
I'll do that.

Thankyou!

Re: What is this Truck?

try using the Bing version of maps, they have a 3/4 view thats REALLY clear for a lot of places. Might help.

Re: What is this Truck?

Actually I'm also noticing that the truck in the image has got to be a step. Look VERY closely at the image, and you can the the 3-4 pixel overhang of the step rail on the bed, instead of the smooth side the fleet would have. I blew it up about 6 times but that is FOR SURE a step side truck. And i think the tail gate is down in the picture.

Here it is blown up about 4 times. I didn't have my pen tablet hooked up so I had to do the outlines with my finger, but hopefully it should present the same idea.

Re: What is this Truck?

Thanks,

It's not there in street view.
I think because it's a flag lot. (Not facing the street)

I'm probably going to go with Mark's idea to write them a letter.
