Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
I have a set of #250 Santhuff (Landrum) springs 18" I tryed on my truck a few months back that didn't work for mine. I cut 3/4 coil off just to get them in the truck and they are 16 1/2" long. Ride height was to low for me with the dropped spindle. Front end weight is 2,100 - 2,200 and was about an inch off the bump stops. If anyone could use them let me know.

68 C10 KID (Mike) may have a set of 47140 Morosso springs.
I also have a couple sets of springs, but not 100% sure on their spring rate. When I get home I will see if I have a way to test them. But I think they are going to be in the 175-190lb rate. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
It has the moroso trick spring 47170 under it now with one complete coil cut off of it. The ride height it close but you still cannot put two people in the cab or it sets to low. I think I am going to get another set and cut a half coil off and try that. Thanks for all the help you guys are the bomb!

New coil over mounts,anti-roll,trailing arm crossmember, and headers what you guys think? Will she work this time out?

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
Looks good!! The anti-roll bar looks similar to what I'm running. Where did you come up with the trailing arm crossmember? Looks very nice!!

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
What did you have to do to put the crossmember in? Such as getting it off the ground and supporting rear end. I posted a pic of my truck in the picture section. Love the site. Great info. I am having traction issues myself. Thanx

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
So just curious, what ET/MPH are you expecting from the 2 stages?

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
For the first time out, the 60' is pretty good. I think if you can get the 250 hit to work out of the hole, you have a high 5 in it.

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
I hope so its been a long time coming, if not the 588 is going in.

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
What did you end up doing with the springs in the front?
|
Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc
Ordered a new set of 47170 and cut 1/2 coil off instead of 1 full coil. It seems to be alot better we will see after a few days.
