Great looking truck! I always say that the 67-68's are the best looking. Saw a post earlier about you finding a truck in the mountains with your dad? Is this the truck?

Yes this is that truck, sorry guys I haven't updated in so long its harder for me to upload pictures from my windows phone. But some updates, got a new driveshaft, I took out the glass packs and put in some old flowmasters and now I can hear myself talk while I drive. I'll try postin pictures up on the computer:mm:

Wow we both have black shortbed 67's with small windows and we're both working and upgrading them while we drive them! I did the same thing to my 67 I put a new intake on and it's painted orange even though it's aluminum haha, I did the rear sway bar from a camaro to my truck and it was a pretty easy instal should be no worries, and I also have a 700r that I'm going to install to.. Crazy how similar our plans are lol

 Yeah i gotta say our builds are pretty similar, just got all my rallies painted gloss black and have my trim rings all together, will eventually just assault my thread with pictures soon, also looking into running 10 inch wide rallies in the rear but i would have to run a one inch spacer and get some rubber on the rim to see where im at:smoke:

I got some of the stuff off the blaze but the rest got scrapped, but heres what I been up to with the truck, just finished hooking up my guaged dash and radio, want to actually make a splice in the dash so I can put a stock looking one back in cause the po must have used tin snips to cut the hole, will paint the ashtray to match the rest, alot better than the one I had that had holes drilled in it

Re: Project "BLACKOUT"

Its actually comical how similarly our P.O's cut out the hole for the radio. It took me hours to clean up the mess they made with tin snips. The worst part is they cut out holes in the doors for speakers the same way. completely mutilated the sheet metal.

Those wide wheels will look good with some wider rubber on them.

Re: Project "BLACKOUT"

I know I just gotta hope I can find some soon. I just hoping I won't have to tub cause it is going to be close to the inner fender, but I can't come out more or I run into the issue of rubbing on the fender lip.

Looking good Roy :D Like those wider rear rims too, but yeah, tires don't look right for it.

Yeah I have a feeling I might have to do some metalwork but I have to put the tires on hold for now, my focus is the slayer concert and hunting till rifle season is over.

Re: Project "BLACKOUT"

It has been an extremly long time since i updated this. Lately because since having phone issues its alot more difficult for me to post updates from a stationary device. but some things that happened since i stopped posting. got new rubbers all the way around, engine doesnt leak oil from the intake, in the process of fixing a hood thats in alot better shape than the one that is also on my truck. Also want to try to find a front valance for my truck so it kinda hides my crossmember and sway bar. Also gonna ditch the chrome valve covers and try to go for a stockish look. I will try uploading pictures but it gets difficult when i cant post photos from my phone.
