In your first set of pictures is your gauge bezel faded or scratched up? The reason I ask is I have a pretty decent one hanging in my garage that I have no use for. I no longer have the truck I was going to put it in.

Greenlee, the tires are 31/10.50/15 pictured. I now wish I would have gone with the 32's. I wanted the tall skinny look but I'm convinced that's not possible with the 15x8 rallies. I would need to get into a 16 inch wheel to achieve it and my theme here is to keep Ol' Blueberry stock/restore.

I have since picked a used one and buffed it out. The one pictured is the old, ill post the new tomorrow. I actually went through the cluster and installed a new wiring circuit and leds. I just didnt document very well so I never posted on it.. But yeah it was plum ruined! Thanks for the offer kind sir!

I was just looking on 4 Wheel Parts website and you can get those tires in a 33x10.50. That might help with the tall skinny look. I have 31's on my truck also and would like to go with something a little bigger.

Those printed circuits are a pain. The laminate on mine was coming a part in one area. I just tried to be careful with it when putting the cluster back in. So far everything still works.

I think if I went with the 33/10.50 I would have to get into a small lift.. No sure that's what I want to do as of now. But your right, that would get it taller!

Here's a pic of the LEDs. Not a great pic but they do help light it up. Not able to dim is the downside.

That looks great! :metal: The bezel looks good too. I did the LED's also. What a difference it makes!

I'm with you on keeping it mostly stock with no lift. I have read here on the forum that 33's will fit using the stock wheels without a lift. However, I'm thinking they might rub offroad? Most 33's are 12.50 on the width. You can get the BFG's in 33x10.50 so they might have a better chance of fitting with no rubbing.

Your truck remind me of a 76' 2wd long bed I had. It was the same 2 tone colors as yours, but repainted solid blue just like yours.

Looking good. I recognize your inspiration truck. I'm pretty sure I know where it is. Cool truck. I've looked at it several times while passing by. Clean looking for sure.

How hard was it to replace the pins and bushings? That's something I get to look forward to on my '76.

Re: 1977 K10 Silverado Longbox

Rusty76... It was a breeze. Took about 20 -30 mins. I used a jack with a 2 ft piece of railroad tie to support the door. Penetrating oil, a socket and wrench. Hammer to knock the pin up and out. Screwdriver to knock out one of the stubborn bushings. When tapping back in the new bushings, do it gingerly cause they break. Good luck with it!

Ok so while I have the bed off, a few things need to be addressed. Dropped the tank to fix the original problem. Gas was leaking out every time I filled up. Filler hoses were rotten. I order a new sending unit lock rig and gasket. Also ordered strap pads and paint for the tank once I get it clean up and sanded. It looks spotless inside, and it's original with USS stamp. I plan on powder coating the straps along with new hardware. I also ordered a can of Chassis Saver in the vintage flat black. Time to get to work!

I just want it right because I don't plan on selling! Check out that crazy hitch someone welded to the frame and cut that huge hole in the crossmember to run it through... That ****s coming OFF!

Been super cold to get a lot done.. Blasted tank and straps and primed. Gonna try Chassis Saver Black on the straps and Silver on the tank. New hoses and fuel pump arrived. Also found a rust free filler neck at the yard and wire wheeled it clean! Ill Chassis Save it as well.
