Rear windshield in. Windshield guy didn't bring a front gasket, so smog will be on hold until Monday when he comes back.

Looking great! I got way more than that in mine and it still isn't painted... who is doing your glass install?

A local glass man, friend of a friend I guess. I can PM you his contact if you need it, Sacramento area.
New front antenna windshield, front chrome gasket, rear black gasket, plus install on rear window. $200!

UG I wish he was closer! Even though my rubber seals are all new, the upper right corner on my front windshield isn't sitting flush. I'm about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Are you going to do any work on the interior?

The interior is okay for now. I'd like to get the seat reupholstered, and install a carpet. Retro stereo would be cool too.

I need to order some wiper arms and get a new motor for the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

I used some "303 aerospace protectant" on the interior and it really made it look much better, even though the dash is cracked and the door panels need some love. I'd like to respray my gauge bezel but that will come at a later time.

Front and rear glass are in. Passed smog. Spent 2 1/2 hours at the DMV, but it's finally registered and on the road.

Wiper arms, blades and washer pump motor are ordered. Fender trim should be on this weekend.

First coat of Herculiner drying.

Anyone know if a faulty windshield washer switch inside the turn signal lever could keep the washer fluid pump from activating??

Sprayed the engine down with some degreaser, it cleaned up well. The bed liner is cured and came out nice as well.

I narrowed my washer fluid spray problem down to a faulty switch. Tearing into the column is a PITA, but it needs to be done. Also bought a new turn signal lever.

Very nice work looks great. I love (hate) tearing these columns apart!

Re: 85 White Whale

Thanks. Wiper switch didn't come today, so I'm hoping on Monday. Getting the switch plug through the column is going to be a real pain. I'm debating on carefully removing each wire from the plug itself and pulling it through using the string I've already fished through. If anyone has any suggestions on how to go about it, I'm all ears!

The truck looks killer! :metal: Nice work.

I changed my wiper switch a few years ago. I used the string method if I remember correctly. I can't really remember exactly how I did it.

Thanks!

I ended up cutting the plug of entirely, feeding the wires through the column, and soldering each of the wires back together.

Got the aux input installed and works well. I have 8 more aux jacks if anyone needs one. PM me and I'll toss one in an envelope.

How do you like the raptor liner? I am wanting to do a diy bed liner for my truck over my winter break. How well did that aircraft paint remover work?

It's actually herculiner. For under $70, I like it a lot. Time will be the test, but as of now it has a nice gloss black look to it.
The aircraft paint remover is messy. And will burn your skin on contact...but it works. Paint it on and wipe off everything it touches down to bare metal. Saved a lot of time stripping the little nooks and hard to reach places in the bed.

Radar Renegade m/t. Never heard of them but they have some decent reviews online. We'll see how they fair. $500 mounted and balanced.
