well gut i kinda held out on ya little bit i wasnt on awhile ago cause we switched our internet so it was off for a day or two and im too youyng to go into pick n pull you have to be 16:waah:there is a cst 67 (i didnt believe him when he told me until he showed me a pic) but it has a 68 bed, so i told my dad what i needed and he went down there and about 2 1/2 hours and about 40 bucks i got this:
two parking light housings w/ pig tails (the wiring)
the brace that goes on the inner driverside fender
67 mirror and arm (bracket)since they are hard to find
trim for the frnt
door trim
drivers side cab trim
passenger side wheel welll bed trim
the glove box door
the h for chevrolet on the hood
a bunch of the plugs that go on the doors door jamb
and thats it

well im am going to be trading my bed sides (68) for a 67 will be getting tommorow my 67 dog dish chrome and red and hopefully my window rubbers come in tommorrow

well i no i have been laging on the pics but i will get some i got my window rubbers in the mail today got the back window in and now we need the front but that is going to be a pain so we are going to have some one come out and do it but i also got those hubcaps they are pretty good i would say

What brand seal? Are you using silicone or window spray to make the gasket easier to slide on the windshield? Then put rope in the back, install from the front, and pull the rope out as you pull in and it'll seat itself....sounds easy, huh ;)

no silicone just rubber seals but i dont think we can put a rope in between

I used a fat speaker wire when I helped a friend do it, we also used a heat gun to help soften it up and a suction cup to help move it around. Here's a youtube link that makes it look so easy :metal:

well todays plan has already been set in motion so here goes i took the bed off peice by peice so i can trade the bed sides on tuesday and plus my cross sills and headgate are still in primer so i think i am going to paint them but for some reason the black paint i have (its new) it looks like crap but i did everything correct so thats kinda :crazy::crazy:

i dont know if any of you have ever seen the terrets guy vidoes on you tube, but i feel like him, (ah sh#&!!!!!):lol: this stupid paint. i shook the crap out of the can ,i put acetone, (but not too much) i cleaned the paint gun really good, (it spilled on the floor, which we wiil be moving out by the 8th so thats not good) now i need to go wire wheel the cement so its gone. i spilled on my self and all i managed to do, is try and get the paint to come out right AND STRAIGHT, so i sprayed it on some inner fenderwells. it looks like i undercoated them:lol: but still this is the second timeit has done this to me, i am about ready to throw it in the garbage:sumo::waah::banghead::dohh::m6::m7::mad:, and buy another type of paint but my dad paid 50 bucks for it, so before i do anything else, i am going to study the crap out of this paint. anyways im not dicoureged .just seeing my truck sit there still makes me happy so i will look for something else to do and hopefully it will go right oh and SORRY FOR THE LONG POST .....

If you have a pressure washer, that should get rid of the paint on the cement. Hey just figure it as a learning experience :metal:

well iw ent and bought some matte black for the air cleaner probably going to get it tomorrow and then i got some silver for the glove box door its black and i repainted the silver on the edge all i need to do is get the emblem and its finished how do those go on what type of clips and do they come with the emblem

well ot the air cleaner and painted it came out nice and it mounted a little rough but then i got a spacer and it worked b-e-a-utiful!!! it even still has the ''keep your car all gm'' sticker on it i didnt paint over i left that alone looks sweet

No you don't need hi temp paint on the air cleaner. Only the exhaust. Even the engine block and heads don't get hot enough to use special paint. If your engine is over 240 degrees you have problems. I painted my engine with 2 stage paint. Base coat, clear coat and it is fine. Been on there for 9 years.
