Maybe we should get together and take turns working on each other's trucks, but Graham you have to come off the hill first due to snow y'all are getting.
Jeff I know a guy that can help you with those parts!!:lol:

So I have a question about the nickel plating you've had done. The original parts that you have had nickel plated, is there any prep work you need to do prior like sand blasting? Also do you have a contact name and number I could get for the plating company you use?

For the nickel I didn't do any prep, I'm pretty sure the company I sent it to blasted everything but they do it in house to make sure the metal is perfectly clean before it gets coated. And the company I used was called goldtronics, they were located in Mooresville for a while but they moved out of state about a year ago. If you want I can try and track them down and get a number for ya.

Well guys I've been working my butt off over break trying to rebuild the bank account and it's payed off. I placed an order with summit this morning for wheel spacers for the rear, anodized plugs to cap off my rearend, wilwood proportioning valve, gorilla lug nuts, and my wilwood master cylinder. I'll post some pictures when everything gets here:chevy:

Thanks, no worries about tracking down the number. I am just trying to find a good local plater to avoid shipping costs.

The truck is killer. The paint is so shiny and slick. Amazing attention to detail.

It's about 30 minutes I believe. If you make it up here let me know and we can meet up. I'm free in the morning before 11 but I have class and work after that

Thanks Mike, I really appreciate it!! Got a little free time after class today so I cleaned up and repainted my 8-350 emblems. Tomorrows project is the super emblems. I used testors model paint and eagle one chrome polish. Let me know what you guys think

Thanks man! I'm pretty glad with how they turned out. Got the holes drilled and installed them tonight. I painted the super emblems also but not too stoked with how they turned out so I'm gonna redo them.

I hear you on that. I did the same thing with a few of my GTO emblems. The ones that the chrome was too far gone I had to replace, but the others, I used model paint and a small brush, just like you. Tedious work, but worth it in the end.
