LOL, i think you were on the right track already !! As far as the color goes thank you i owe that to my wife and a little guidance from Mitch Henderson !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Ha! I figured that color out months ago but didn't want to ruin your surprise. When you said that you'd have something that "screamed VeeWee" on the outside I was going to throw a picture of a swamp cooler on here. That would've trumped the gold thing I bet!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Hey Mike,
At what point in the build did you figure out you wanted to build something that was SEMA-worthy? You'd never done anything like this before, right? The Blazer is going to be ready for next year? |
Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Well i feel that my build was SEMA worthy before i ever had any idea about going to SEMA (i am not trying to say that in a cocky way, i had just spent a long time building it and feel that i built it right) , i only found out about SEMA 7 or so months ago so we were right on the tail end of the build..The SEMA thing did help me get some great parts that i would not have been able to afford on my own, like the CPP big brake kit, the VHX guages from Dakota Digital and all the great parts from Painless Wiring and several other great sponsors ! No this was my first trip to SEMA , deffinately way out of the box for me !! As far as the blazer goes i am still in the planning stages at the moment but yes the idea would be to do a less then a year build and have it at SEMA 2013 ! I have enough sponsors on board already that i would be crazy not to do it , but it will be an insane amount of work to get done in that time frame.....we will see just how crazy i am !!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
What trans is in your truck mike?

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
700r4

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I guess thats fair. I paid $1100 for the trans and installation and everything, except I already had the TCI lock up kit.
|
Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
i think it is fair, it just stinks that i paid to have this rebuilt and it set for so long !! now to do it again !

That sucks about the trans. What are you using for the TV cable set-up since you have the TBI unit?
|
Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
LOL...that would be AWESOME !!!....although with SEMA already done the sponsorship thing might be tough ! I think SEMA was the big draw for the whole sponsor thing !
