Thanks. I bought a Rostra module and with the help of a boardmember, made it work.

I really like them. I'm currently waiting on Moser to send me some new axles to replace the incorrectly machined ones that I originally purchased from them. The bad axles were causing a vibration that I have been chasing for a while now. Once I get them swapped out, I'll be doing some more road testing with the shocks, :metal:.

Something like this?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rpc-250-2316
More details would be great if possible... I am about to work on this same thing...
Thanks

I'm not familiar with that kit. We used kit 1858, it's for a DBW. I'm sure there are other kits that will work (possibly 1848), but I'm not sure. The biggest hurdle we had was converting the 4K PPM o/p signal from the computer to an 128K PPM i/p signal that the 1858 was looking for. After that, the only other issue I had was with LED tail lights.

Resistance issues or something to that effect?

Yes. The lights worked great without a resistor, but there wasn't enough resistance to allow the CC to "latch". When I put a factory bulb back in, the CC worked fine. I just need to add a relay to the CKT and then I can put the LED tail lights back in.

Were they Part #: 22189841 (rear) and Part #: 22149841 (front)? I didn't see anything pertaining to a different part number for a lowered truck.

Thanks!

Mark - measured the difference between mounting points on my front and rear shocks and then called Ridetech. They recommend the shock number that I should buy base off of those measurements.

On a different note, I changed out the axles hoping that the rear vibration/hop would go away but it didn't...:(. So I got to looking at the rotor/axle hub where the rear wheel bolts on and you can see where the wheel isn't bolting on centered. I think the CPP rotor is so thick that very little of the hub area is sticking out past the rotor, so the wheel is not centering up on the wheel flange. I have the cone style lugnuts but they are not forcing the wheel to center up, which is causing the rear to bounce. . Not really sure what to do now....:waah:

I actually read an post somewhere that said one of the axle tubes had tweaked under load and caused this same symptoms... This was a 1000hp truck... but who knows what it would actually take to tweak one...
Just a thought... I will see if I can find the post...

I don't believe it's an axle tube. This problem started when I rebuilt the rearend and added the rear CPP disc brakes. I had these wheels on with drum brakes and had no such problem. I'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that the wheels aren't centering up on the hub when I bolt them on. I'm going to pull a rotor off and bolt the wheel on and see if I still have the same problem.

Yeah I could see that being an issue as well...

Haven't done much to the 68 lately, I've been sick since Thanksgiving. I did develop/fabricate a bolt in pedal mounting bracket for the GEN III DBW gas pedals. Here's a link and a few pics. Let me know if you are interested in one.

The one you have is for a Gen IV motor using the 05+ Corvette pedal. The new one is for a Gen III motor using the truck/suv DBW pedal.

I think I'm about to fight through it. Yesterday wasn't fun, but at least I got out of the house, As far as the rear, I'm just going to drive it and see if anything gets worse.

I agree, getting out of the house is good first step, baby steps:lol:

Didn't plan on it, it just happened. It went to a guy in Baton Rouge. I don't think he's a member, but I told him about the board.

Rob, how much of an improvement were the ridetechs.? What did you have on there before.? Was it like WOW.?

And are they RQs or HQs..?

I'm trying to decide how crazy I should go on shocks...

Just read through this entire thread - wow!

What an awesome truck to begin with and you took it to a whole new level - really set the bar high!

Great job and a lot of awesome tech in this thread too.

Gotta ask, anything new w/ this one or fresh pics to share?

Ernie was the "motorvation" on that, :metal:.

I'm still test fitting parts and pieces, but it's coming together. I went to the parts store and picked up a bunch of radiator hoses (they thought I was nuts,), but I didn't want to make 10 trips back...:D. Any way, I found an upper that works perfect! I alsot go one for the lower, but I'm not really happy with it, so I'll keep looking. How do you like my "six-pack" holder?, just having a little 4th of July fun, enjoy!!!:metal:

Unfortunately, unless it is posted in this thread somewhere, I don't have the part number anymore.
