Heres another one, little closer....the reason the spring is mounted to the forward position (on your ford picture), is to have the wear more uniform...throttle cable pulls the shaft to the rear, and with the spring in the rear mounted position, all the wear is on the back of the throttle shaft. But, if you put the spring forward of the throttle shaft, it equalizes the pressure, supposedly

Pay no attention to the outside cable, thats for cruise control

Good information sir thanks.

Now how do I know how much spring tension to use? I noticed the one pictures here has a spring inside a spring. I was just planning on using the stock spring because it seems totally fine. Thanks again.

Depends on how hard you want your pedal, how fast you want your throttle shaft to return to idle, and what kinda condition your carb is in.....all varibles, decisions, decisions, all yours

I like two, if you want them lmk. Im not using them anymore. I have this to keep my engine running right

What are these and can I get rid of them? Lots and lots of vacuum lines here... Some seem to go to these little doohickeys and are connected to nothing else? Pardon my lack of proper nomenclature.

This one looks like it opens up a side vent of some sort...

Theyre part of the ac system, put them on the classifieds and make some bucks.....if that is a glass fuel filter i see, get rid of it, if its plastic get rid of the worm drive clamps, and put spring clamps on it.....

Is it all AC stuff? The filter is plastic, I'll grab some spring clamps today.

Thanks!

Does it really matter what fuel filter I get? Would be nice to have a aluminum one.

No, not at all

Glass breaks = fire
Plastic leaks with worm drive clamps = fire

So after I get back to this and just want a heater, does anybody have any pics of what it looks like when it's done? Does the box need to go back in? Or maybe I pick up a factory one that just had heat? Thanks
