Finally got this b home. I can only take credit for about 1% of the work done on it though. My buddy was building it and then decided he wanted another muscle car so he put it up for sale. It is now mine, and after about a month of getting it streetable I finally drove her home.

Nice! How was it bagged? I notice there's a lot of negative camber when it's laid out.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

The camber straightens out quick with just a little pressure. It has 80's style spindles, not drop spindles on it so that's why the camber is so far off laid out. The lower arms are cut out and then boxed. Crossmember is pancaked and the lower arms where actually brought in closer together when that was done. I'll post some more pics in the next couple days or so. Here is a link to the build thread if you want to check it out.

I think the camber LOOKS awesome... but I shredded tires FAST on my old silverado. when I bag my '61 i will try to get rid of the camber as much as possible, as low as possible.

love your new ride man. going to check out the build now.

Here is a couple crappy pics of suspension. Battery is toast so I couldn't show how much lift it gets.

In the rear pic you can sorta see the early 60's VW gas tank between the frame rails.
The Chevy sending unit dropped right in too.

Here we go. This is my 66. Air Ride Technologies in front with Porterbuilt Drop Trailing Arms in the rear. 22's on the front and 24's on the rear. 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, and A/C. We just started this past Saturday removing the interior and currently sanding the interior for a complete paint job only to be followed by a complete exterior makeover. I just wish I could decide what color to paint this truck. I am not a fan of green but I have enjoyed this color.

I've seen you rollin around the valley several times, sweet truck!! Not to sound like a creeper or anything, but I actually drive by your house every now and then (on my landscaping route, lol) and it looked like the front end was all smashed up the other day!! Did you get hit or was I (hopefully) just seeing things? Btw, love the pictures, I've been thinking about taking some shots of my '79 up at the old pen when I get it painted...

Hey creep, nothing fancy here. The front consists of stock control arms (with the upper balljoint angle flattened) and spindles along with the outer ends of the crossmember being sectioned 2 1/2" or 3", I can't quite remember. The frame is Z'd three inches. The rear is a 2"x3"x.120" backhalf with a 10" kick over the axle. The suspension is a simple two link from 2"x2"x.120" tube with bushed ends. The bars are 32" center of bushing to center of axle. The same as c to c on the u-jpints in the rear half of the driveshaft. Location is controlled via a telescoping wishbone.

Yeah, I had a brake failure last July or august that caused me to slam into the back of a '65 Chevelle on the way to a car show. The worst part is that the Chevelle belonged to a customer and just rolled out of my shop two weeks prior. I spent six weeks massaging and painting that car. He came out okay though with a dented deck lid. Still made me sick that I smashed his car.

I just put on my new cross member, its a stock 78 C10 with bags. I bought this whole setup from a guy, I'm really not liking how the bags sit in the cups so I'm thinking I'm going to cup the lower arms to get it a few inches lower. I spent all day Sunday cleaning and painting the front of the frame.

I'm pretty sure that is a pre-73 crossmember and control arms. This is what the 73-87 crossmember and control arms look like. They have rubber bushings.
