Ouch!! At least you found it now and can repair it correctly. It would have really sucked to have painted it and then found it later. I know everyone doesn't have the skill or tools to do restorations the correct way, but sometimes you gotta wonder what people are thinking...... See you on Monday.

Knocked a good amount out today. I got the new cab brace and outer patch panel in and have been fitting the floor pan. Should have the passenger side finished up by this weekend.

Really neat build! I missed that one on Ebay. I bet you had to pay some greenbacks for that rig and delivery! I like sheet metal work you have going there. I know what you are talking about po doing some strange things. I had one once where the po had taken galvenized sheetmetal duct and riveted over rusty holes to make a "new" floorboard.

Thanks. They are the same for a 2wd or 4wd. Just remove your stock crossmember and bolt up the dropmember

Finished up the passenger side lower A-pillar. Just need to do a little grinding on the welds and then install the rockers.

Finally have been able to get back on the Blazer a little today. I was able to replace the torsion box on the passenger side and start stitching up the bedside.
