Great looking column!! :D
And man!! I was considering the bango wheel myself.
But instead, I got a tilt out of a 74 C10, And I'm shrinking
my original wheel down 2" inches. And painting to match.;)
There might be some distant genes in common somewhere.

Very nice looking truck. I am just starting on my 67. Got any advice. Who did you use for most of your parts?

Yes, It's great that your boy want to get involved. My boy had no interest
in cars growing up. And my daughter just wants to know if she can drive it,
When it's done.

Great build man!

Body parts I got from LMC in the beginning. Then I was turned on to a Local Resto store in my area called Kenny's Truck. Most of the places get there parts from the same vendor. What hurts the customer is the shipping and handling... These trucks are very popular see if someone in your area sells them. As for motor parts , I dealt with Summit and Jegs... Go to car show. You can find great deals!!!!

Yes it is. Be sure not to get the leaf spring. It's different. It must be the ones with coil springs. Those bolts are killer getting off!!!

As for advice. Theirs two things needed to restore a truck. Money or patience. Set a realistic game plan. Don't try and do the truck all at once unless you have deep pockets... Break the truck up in to parts. Suspension, Motor, body parts (cab work, Front clip, bed work) Motor and Tranny, wiring, etc...,I wished I knew about this forum earlier. Good luck. If you need any advice and I can help feel free!!!

Well Spike and Stitch, No I havent installed it as of yet. I must admit I'm a tad intimidated. Plus I been in ohio for a week in training. I only paid 487.00 for my wiring Painless harness from Summit. I'm eventually getting me a vintage air unit. I think it comes with the the a/c harness.

summit the 18 circuit for 67-72 gm trucks is 387.00
the a/c harness 109.00
so 510.oo shipped then mail in rebate of 100.oo
so it be 410.oo for both

My mistake, I meant 387.00. Another reason I haven't started putting my harness together is because I want to get my dash cluster and rear lights. I have alot of electrical componets missing still. My truck was totally gutted when I purchased it. Although I have most of the original pieces, I even had the harness, I decided to go new. Right now, I've been consumed with researching rims and tires.

Thanks to POL for their great service this morning when I ordered my Brake Kit!!!! While getting off work, I receive a phone call a few hours later from Brandon the sales rep to inform me that my 5 boxes were just shipped!!! Wow. And I saved $135.00 going with POL!!!!! Hopefully everything else goes just as good!!!! I've figured out my Rims I'm going with too!!! 22x9.5 Foose Nitrous with a 266/35/22 tire. On a static drop(for now;)) Mock fitting my wood bed this weekend for prep!!!! that's going to blow some minds and have other scratching their heads!!!! It will be a first!!!!!!

I agree 100% on going to the bigger car shows in your area to buy parts. The vendor hauls them there to sell, usually the last day of the show when they are packing up is when I make my best buys, cause they do not really want to haul some of that stuff back! Awesome truck build you have going on!

My son and I was up early mock fitting the wood in my bed!!! Alot of adjusting is needed. Plus I'm not exactly 100% sure about the placement of the cross sills. But that's all a easy fix!!!! Headed to Lowe's to see if they can accomodate my super wild idea for my wood. One question? Is there an Expoxy that is UV resistant and that adheres to a laminate????
