We have had Oregon and Seattle weather all year here. It’s been raining for what feels like everyday since March! Its cooling down here but it’s nit stopping me. I commute all year round to work on a motorcycle even in the zero degree windchill temps so I can handle the cold, but the makeshift tent I have over it won’t handle any type of snow so I’m hoping to get this truck done and on the road by thanksgiving

Slowly made some progress this weekend, I got The entire front end complete along with the turn singals/ markers and headlights wired.

Painted the floor with Eastwood rust encapsulator and then imatation dynamatted the whole interior top to bottom.

I also mounted / installed / plumbed the vintage air heater assy

I have the bed laid down on the frame where it’s supposed to but am waiting for the bed pads to arrive before I attempt to secure it down. Also noticed that since the bed is on that the 18x9.5 rear wheels won’t fit without rear bed tubs:censored::censored: so I ordered a set of 4” wheels tubs tonight to allow the room for the wide wheels.

Made some progress this weekend.
Installed the bed wheel tubs, got the new windshield and new rear slider in, had to have my wife help me with the glass, took some time but we got it

Also reinstalled the cowl vent with new seal, installed the electric wiper motor assembly, installed and wired the gauges, new radio installed and cut the hole in the transmission cover for the shifter to pop out and installed new hurst shirt throw shifter. Also installed the new headliner and sun visor and added a passenger sun visor

Looks great and having major dejavu from seeing the cab worked over in just about the same way i did recently. BTW I had to really caulk the H-ll out of the rear slider on mine to stop leaks. You may find that the slider actually sucks in air when only the drivers side vent is opened. Weird but works! Who made those nice gauges?

Thanks! I sure hope there is no leaks! Wasn’t fun putting the glass in. Thanks for the heads up on that. The gauges are beautiful, they are Dakota digital gauges

Curious. Which electric wiper did you use and were you able to adjust it for a full sweep? I used one from Classic and can't get it to go more than a little over straight up.

It’s the counterpart brand. Which is probably the one that all the catalogs sell. I tested the wipers before I had the wiper arms on, I only made sure they were operating on both speeds and turning the right direction... I’ll try and test them this weekend now that the arms and blades are on

I had a busy weekend and got some stuff done but didn’t take many pictures...
I went to Home Depot and made my own wood bed with aluminum 1/2” angle strips. I got all the rear lights on and wired including a little third brake light / tag light combo and tried my best to hide a led back up light .
I also spend about 4 hours or more assembling the insides of the doors with new weather stripping and glass along with replacing the window regulator plastic rollers. I also mounted and balanced my wheels and tires and installed the air intake assembly

I’m hoping to complete the truck and drive it for the first time by the end of this coming weekend, we will see if it actually happens.. still have to install the carpet, mount the seat and install it and bolt on the doors, install the cab windlace , attempt to align it, etc... it’s getting close! Just tons of small stuff ...

FWIW If thats snow in the bed it sends shivers up my spine!!!!! You are a tough man to be doing that outside!!.

Haha no! It’s just the led light I was using to work in the crappy tent! If lived where we got snow in October, I’d be moving !

ITS ALIVE!!! I spent my entire weekend working into the morning hours to finish it up and take it for a ride. For the first time in almost 21 years, it’s driving down the road under its own power. I absolutely love it. It stops and handles like a go cart. The interior is quiet and rattle free. I have never got so many thumbs up in my life from other cars on the road. Took it down the highway and it’s smooth! Only problem is it’s running rough and getting a mass air code. Already cleaned it and no luck, hopefully a new Maf sensor will fix it.
