hey PSC10 are those radial's....I noticed that my new sneakers make my truck wonder pretty badly..I was woundering if it was because of the radial fronts and bias back or wether it was due to low air on the rear??

His are bias. How low are you running them on the street?

Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!

read on the side of the tire and I would run max pressure or close to it when not at the track then let them down.

20 is not enough on the street. I didn't have a problem when I ran sportsman pro's and radials.

They are bias ply sportsman. You are actually running too much air. I believe the tires are only rated at 20 psi max which would be under max load rating. When I ran them at 18, they got worse. It causes the tire to crown real bad. I run 16 in mine and it's about what the truck likes. They are going to feel like they are walking on you no matter what pressure you run. I am on the hunt for either M/T radials or Hoosier radials. I have talked to a lot of people that started with the sportsmans and switched to radials. They say you won't believe the differences. It's not so much that you are running radials with bias as the fact that the bias are so wide and not much of a sidewall. You really have to choose the "look" or ride quality. I chose the look.

What backspacing did you end up with Hottrucks and were there any clearance issues? I'm looking at buying some 20 x 15s with 9" BS, but I want to make sure they fit.

I added 4" to the backspacing of a stock rally any more and there would be issues..mostly because of the panard bar bracket on the cup car arms you can see the Pb hanger in the build pic and the other crappy pic shows the clearance

I must confess I find the color unappealing. But make it metallic blue or green and you have the truck I want!:metal: This looks just like what we would see back in 78-80, a clean truck with a front lift, big rears (N50's not M&H's but the same idea), and a whole lotta motor!:ww:

Now I gotta go find a short step but a :gmc2:!!

Seriously, how much did you lift each end to get that stance?

Ok a quick measurement is 8" back space and 4 up front (stock)....the 9" will be close to the spring..really close I would want to check off your wheels if you know what your spacing is??

Use what you feel you need to come to the correct pressure but max air is for max load. You can't compare these to your car tires that you run 35 psi in. They distribute the load differently. You will not want to be anywhere near 20 lbs.

With the price they're asking for the 20 X 15s, believe me, I'll do some serious measuring prior to ordering them,.

PSC10, what backspacing do you have on your wheels?

Just waiting on parts and the time to get this metamorphosis under way. Have been procrastinating on what to do about trans,,, If I change to a glide it adds a LOT of expense. I don't know if the Hughes TH350 is going to like what I'm doing,, and I have a pro-tree Hughes TH400 w/ shields all ready,, but will have to change driveshafts, and to use air will have to change shifters,,, bla bla,, every little detail justs keeps adding more and more $'s. Goal is to have it all ready before it get's hot so I don't have to wear a stinking firesuit to race this summer!!!

were you at pinks all out???

I'm guessing you didn't have any clearance issues? Yours are 14" wide correct?

No clearance issues at all because I did all my cutting and welding first, then just ordered the wheels to fit perfectly. Yes, 15x14's.
