My engine makes about 1100hp / 2000ft-lbs at the wheels and weighs 4600lbs. Next time I go to the track I will try leaving it in 3rd gear or 1-1 and see if I run out of rpm. My dad had a gear vendors on his truck and it seemed to take a long time to shift. That was 15 years ago they may be better now.
On my truck do you think going with a stiff sidewall tire will help me? Now i'm using a MT slick 31-13-15. Hoosier sells a slick close to that but in a stiff sidewall. By the way the slow motion video looks like I'm running the tire over and then the truck is bouncing.
