I have used it several times. Its pretty good stuff. I have only used the black but am going to do the bed of my 59 at some point and am going to try the color match stuff. I'll try to remember to get a pic of it...

What a cool rig. When you went to OC did you stay at Frontier Town?

"Looks pretty sweet all in paint."

Pretty sweet doesn't even begin to describe that truck. That thing is unbelievably awsome. You have set the bar really high. We want some daylight pics and one with the camper attached would be cool.

Camper is in storage right now so not pics till spring and I will try to get some day light pic as soon as I can......Now I am thinking I need to paint the camper to somehow match the truck better......

Absolutely gorgeous! I just wish the bed rails could of been left full height, the squared off cut edge looks a little odd... but not bad at all! I've dreamed for years about building a truck like this. :(

I think you should keep us appraised, with photos of course, of all operations with this truck. Even if it is only stopping at the gas station.

Your truck is awesome. It looks like it could have rolled off the factory floor. The best part is that you did the work yourself.

No, I go to OC every summer and thats the only campground I can think of in the area. Some of my friends stayed there years ago, it seemed like a pretty cool place but I remember it being kind of strict.

It's pretty laid back now a days.....very much a family place so there really were not anyone getting too out of control.

Yeah I think this was about 5 years ago or so. But I remember we went to visit them and you only got like one free hour to stay there and I think they said there was a security car making sure everyone was lights out by 10 or 11.

I can't believe how awesome this thing is! Just wondering though, why did you go with a chassis with a 350 as opposed to a diesel for a tow rig?

Re: Big Bertha Build thread x2

I've put well over 100K miles on an Isuzu NPR with a 14 foot box during the last few years and never got over 11 MPG, and I'm a conservative driver. It had a four cylinder turbo diesel and top speed was 72 on level road. You mentioned in a previous post that you were getting 9 towing and 13 unloaded, which is about what my son gets with a late model Ford diesel dually. My point is, I don't think you would ever achieve payback if you swapped to a diesel engine, either a 4,6, or V8, considering the cost to do it and the higher cost of diesel fuel.
