The F body guys either move this sensor to the bumper or front grill area . also some have them fixed with a resister . One guy told me that his settings or tune stopped having variables at something like 80% throttle for consistancy reasons . I am truely new to this and dont want to take it to someone to get a "tune" that wont do what i need it to .

My main goal is a good solid reliable driver , that will be consistant at the track . If not consistant then at least predictable . Would like to put it in drive and let it shift . Also not interested in going faster than 7.50 ( weird request their )

Looks like you are running a truck intake. The IAT sensor is part of the MAF sensor on those engines. Are you running a MAF? If so, you will have to figure out what wires go to the IAT sensor and cut them. You will then need to wire in a new standalone IAT sensor that you can mount where ever you would like.

Good info here. Cant wait to see this fully operational and at full potential. I plan on doing the same with a s15 blazer.

This is still around . I had the truck listed local and on Ebay and it appears no one has any money . I got stupid offers . One guy offered me some lumber and a few interior doors , really ! . Decided to just keep it . Current picture . It currently has a set of 275/60 pro drag radials on it .

Offers for this truck were weak . I kept it . Last year after the Wally race a buddy of mine's girlfriend mentioned that she would like to try racing one day . I told here come by the house tomorrow on the way to the track . She actually won a round . Well this year we have a new class called DOT . We find out the rules next Saturday , but we know 7.50 and slower and mufflers for now . We will find out if DOT tires and tags inspection are required . Anyway . I was having trouble keeping the truck consistant . I had been driving the truck out to street car nights . also having trouble finding a tuner that was willing to actually spend some time working on it . They want to plug in , download a "tune" get paid and send you on the way . My buddy came over one day and ask if his GF can drive it next year . I built it for fun , why not let her shoot for rookie of the year ? He says "can I make it consistant ? "

We pulled the truck intake off , added intake and 6010 box and 750 double pump , holley red pump , -6 braided line added a dip leg to the tank , pulled the 4L60E and stall for a fresh th350 long shaft and 3200 stall . I also added a set of low profile set of caltracs .

WOW! what a difference . this thing was slow (8.78 was fastest pass ) but now it is alive ! brought it up on the converter and BAM ......60' burnout on drag radials . Glad we didn't do a cam change . We will be lucky not to break the 7.50 mark . She should be one of the faster cars in the class for sure . Should have done this earlier .
