Made a patch panel for the inner fender. Pics show it tacked in place and then finished:chevy:

Spent hours wire wheeling and heating up my front bumper and bashing it with a hammer. Probably pissed off all my neighbors but at least it's perfectly straight now. Also welded up all the holes that someone had drilled in it.

thank you very much! I owe all my knowledge to my dad since I starting helping him restore his two cars when I was only a couple years old.

Finished up the welding on the bumper. It's a front bumper that I got for next to nothing. I shortened it 18 1/4'' in the centre and welded strips on the back side for strength and filled all the bolt holes with weld. This should make some of the factory guys scratch their heads:chevy:

Picked up an 18 gallon 69 nova tank to go under the bed. Got it with a sending unit and a locking cap for really cheap. Looks dirty, but the inside is like brand new. The top of the tank will mount between the frame rails with a couple of inches hanging under the frame but that will be covered by the bumper and the tank will be black so it should be unnoticeable. It will fill through the bumper and be covered by the license plate on a hinge.

Thanks, I could of bought a rear stepside number but I would have the big gaps since mine is a longbox, plus it'll be unique.

Since Its starting to get pretty cold outside, the bodywork will slow down but I have been researching about swapping to a t5 and I'm going to look at one for sale sometime soon. Updates will follow if I purchase it.

Very cool build. Be sure to thank your dad for letting you work on stuff with him. I never worked on anything with my dad but I'm definitely including my boys on my burb build.

Keep up the good work. I'll be back for sure.

Thanks Andrew, I'm very lucky to have such a good dad. Make sure to get your boys invoked in your burb. It will be a great learning experience for them.
