Amazing what a little polish and $17 decal kit will do to these caps..

Yes, get out there and drive it, she looks great, I have a 'soft grip' steering wheel, but I like the look of the old stock wheel for now.

Took my maiden voyage Saturday... about a 4hr round trip.. 200ish miles to the C10 Club Georgia meet. Never missed a beat. Got a very small coolant leak in the heater hose, but no problems whatsoever.

Got home and parked it for the evening. Left Saturday night to run to my parents real quick and had a headlight out.. no biggie.. pulled out of my driveway and made it about 5 seconds and the truck died and would not start back..

Coil wire came unplugged. Lol its good now!

Well I lost one of my freshly polished rear caps, and one of the fronts fell off in the driveway luckily. . so I'm ISO a nice set of stainless caps. These I have are bronze and split so they don't fit tight..

Definitely look for the stainless yellow bowtie ones and re-paint the bowtie. The bronze caps are cool because they are OG but not the best for a driver IMO.

They also sell clips that are attached to rims so you can put the old caps on. A few guys here have used them and said they work well. They are used sometimes when the guys put the oversized transport rims on the truck and want the old caps to work.

Where can I find some of these clips ?

I'm interested to know as well. I tried to find some a couple years ago but came up short.

Classic Parts sells them here is the link https://www.classicparts.com/1936-63...ctinfo/64-905/.

There is also a guy on Instagram that sells them as a set. If you go to this link on Hewittca build thread he tells where he got them and shows the install. https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...&postcount=103
