That is different, but I like it.
And I have to ask, what are you using for headlights?

In need of some help guys. My front turn signals wont work unless i hold thr bulb in (loose socket). So i am looking for the turn signal pigtail that runs from my light in the grill to the core support. I can find it in lmc or anywhere else, its a 1157 bulb.

your truck looks great, but what color did you paint it, it just looks like you have been sanding on it in the pics

Your truck is looking great. I like your idea of the work truck paint job. Yours will sure looks better with time than the primer I put on my 95 Ford Crew cab.

ya I took a few months off from it, then I put on a fitech fuel injection kit on it and drove it for about 3 months. Never really was to happy with it, so I sold the fuel injection to a buddy of mine and sold the big block and the 700r4 about 2 weeks ago.

Today I got the donor truck stripped down and ready to pull the motor and the transmission tomorrow, Also go the dirty dingo motor mounts installed. They are great quality and I would recommended them to anyone, however I was a little disappointed that I had to modify my relatively new ss brakes lines because the mounts don't have a provision to allow them to pass thru.

heres the donor truck I bought for 900.00 bucks

weird looking mount/cross member

Is that a LS 5.3 liter motor?

What did you do with the orange paint job, sand it off. or what? ? ?

yes it is a 5.3 ls. I am going to be running the 5.3 with 4l60e out of the donor truck also along with my 208 transfer case, just have to figure out how to make the vss work as it is the transfer case out of the donor truck.

The mount/crossmember is a dirty dingo unit, I went with it because I really liked how the bottom part is removable incase a oil pan is ever needed to be removed while the engine is in the vehicle.

following the ls swap

I have a longhorn chassis that's getting converted to 4x4 this winter and was looking at the dirty dingo crossmember as its getting a 6.0/4l80

I used the mounts the dirty dingo mounts in our suburban that got 6.0/4l80. There mounts fit perfectly. LS swap is best thing I ever did to that truck.

Do you plan to flip the tcase to be RH drop and then just modify the oil pick up in the tcase?

No my 208 is out of a 85 k5 blazer so it is a passenger side drop. I just need to figure out how to make it read a vss. From what little research I have done I believe I can take the 241? Apart out of the donor truck and rob the vss and the reluctor out of it and the just drill and tap my tail shaft on my 208.

Got the intake bolted on and transmission installed

Also figured out what I am doing for a trans mount (will post pics tomorrow).

Got the exhaust manifolds mounted off of a 98 Pontiac firebird formula. Scored them from my neighbor for 25 bucks.

I have had many different setups on this truck between the 2wd and 4wd version, this is by far my favorite setup.

Thank you

Seen a few people on here do some hidden winch setups. I’ve always wanted a winch on this truck. I have this 1/4 plate laying around off of a air compressor I used for a smoker project.

I’ve seen a few hidden winches on here, my plan is to run the plate over the top of the frame rails then weld on two legs that mount to the outside of the frame rail. Mount it to the tow hook holes.
