I can't remember why I didn't just put the Cheyenne trim and belt molding and white part of the deluxe paint back on it and drive it.:lol:

Re: Arkansas K10
Larry, This truck is just SUPER ! Did you find a paint color for the transfer
case ? I have been using primer ? If so, what did you use ? Mike. |

I use primer, then seal it with semi gloss clear. |

Re: Arkansas K10
Do we need to go rough up a painter?
|
Re: Arkansas K10
I didn't download the pictures, but I put the cab on a cart today so it could go to paint.
Mean Green slowed progress on the Arkansas K10 but I had to have AC. |
Re: Arkansas K10
Just kiddin ya...but still happy to grab some sunglasses and a toothpick and have a mostly non verbal conversation with the painter if it helps the situation.

Re: Arkansas K10
I never seem to stumble over to the four by section and knew I must be missing some good builds. And I was right! I agree you could have played it either way Larry - tune it up and drive it, or pull it all the way apart. But if the color was wrong it would have bugged you and once you decided to paint it, you might have ended up pulling apart all you had done to get it on the road anyway. So I think you just circumvented losing that time by just pulling it apart first. Like my logic?
I made some notes and enjoy seeing the work go together. You didn't mention what you had done with the engine, etc. The carburetor looks like it was rebuilt or restored too? |

Re: Arkansas K10
Larry, I'm not sure how I missed this one. Very nice attention to detail and awesome work on it. It's tough finding one of these up here that would have many metal left let a lone markings so it is nice to see where they actually might be.
By the way, beautiful 55 and Vette! We definitely have similar tastes. Haha |

OK, we may be back on track. The painter delivered my cab to me today. He said to get the fenders, doors and hood worked and he would be ready for them.

It don't look like much, but, this was a PIA . It takes strong fingers to tug, push and pull the firewall mat into place.

Re: Arkansas K10
Nice work. I hated putting mine on. What a pain those plastic push clips are.
