yes i have the centerlink and the tie rods from the 78 front end but on the 62 all there are is a steering box?

my dad built an edelbrock and made it run better now i just need a wiper switch, wipers, exhaust, tags, inspection, and insurance and it should be on the street

Check out Captianfab on here, He builds adapter brackets for the early trucks to take a 73-87 steering box. He's also got a thread going about it.

60-62 frames have torsion front ends.... it's a different setup and a little harder to convert.

Well I have an update, no more yenko or hotrod 64, my dad is taking over the build and I'm getting his 67, I'm putting my engine and tranny in the 67 and he's going to finish the truck I'll keep you updated on his progress as well as mine on the 67

The 67 is all there and it's already a great driver, power steering 4 wheel power DRUM brakes :D it stops better than anything I've ever driven and I learned how to drive in it
