I know what your saying about the rep points...but we can only spread so many during the 24 hours or only so many on a thread...
So, take it from someone who can't wait for your updates on your rig and I hope I'm not speaking for myself but I enjoy and learn so much from your post. rep points or not......:metal:
So it's not the rep points, it's the veiws to your thread you should be aware of...;)

I meen we are still waiting on the update on the cabinets....
Thanks Alan

Thanks David!! I shouldn't have ever said anything about rep points. But not having an edit button really sucks.

Project kitchen cabinet overhaul is still going on. When time permits now. Once I get the cab done and on the frame it's break time somewhat from the truck. The cabinets are painted. I still have to do some wiring, sheetrock, paint and counter tops. I used to love doing home improvements, but can't stand it now.

Gotta say I don't know anything about the Rep points and I started reading your thread when you were on page 36 and I've read every post. This is honestly one of the most informative pieces of work I've ever read on the internet. What you've shown is awesome and worthy of as much rep as you want. The fact that you take time out of your already crazy busy days to share your tips and tricks to help out people, some of which in the business world may be your competitors is a true gesture of good faith. I look forward to reading the updates everyday so keep them coming. Thanks

I'm still confused about the Rep thing. :dohh: I read the whole thread about it. I must have missed something. What do you have to do to get a Rep, and where in your User CP do you see how many you have, even if you don't have any? Maybe I'll have to read it again, only slower this time.

Hey Alan what type of paint and tip did you spray your cabinets with, I'm wanting to spray a pic nic table with sealer, would be a lot easier, and my fence.

Also before you were talking about doing a video of how to's, anything going on with that. I have a 64 so it would really help me out!

Do you have it figured out now? Click on the little snow flake under peoples name on the left side of the screen where it says online/offline to leave feedback. It only allows 4-5 in a 24 hour period and there are other limitations. You'll see what I mean.

I shot oil base on the cabinets and thinned it down no more than 10%. I used my gun with the 2.0 tip. It sprayed great. When I sprayed stain on my privacy fence I used a 1.4 tip. Then stain was like water so it sprayed great also.

As far as the video goes, I just don't have the time right now. It will mainly cover repairing dents and filler work. Maybe someday I can get it done. If the sales are good I could fund my truck build, because the money tree died.

I got all of the runs buffed last night and was hoping to sit the cab back on the frame. Then I realized I've got a few things to do first like drill and mount the tranny cross member. I wish I had some headers so I could go ahead and get them in with the cab off.

Hope ya'll have a great day!!

I'm running a vintage air AC system and yes I have already cut the holes for the vents. Here is a pic you can see the vents that are installed. The controller is the oval Vinatge air.

Christ man! you have done more this week than I have managed this year. That is looking great..... now I see a 3000 mile break-in cruise so you can see the burb without snow, throw some brats on the fire and, clank a couple long necks to toast a job well done.

ok that may be a bit of a stretch but seriously NICE job.

Today I also worked on the brake booster assy. For now the only thing that got painted is the booster bracket. The booster will be the same color as the roof.

Before cleaning

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC09746.jpg

This the etch primer that I used.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC09750.jpg

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC09752.jpg

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC09755.jpg

Started too mount this adapter bracket and noticed all of the holes behind it. Only one of these counter sunk screws goes into a nutplate. It looks like I have to put a nut on the other two. I don't remember alll of this from two years ago. I took pics of the outside, but not the inside. Does that sound right or am I missing something? I've got my brake pedal hanger installed.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC09768.jpg

Centered up the trans and drilled and mounted the crossmember

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...y/DSC09756.jpg

Measured from the center crossmember

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...y/DSC09758.jpg

I wonder why I have so much clearance from the distributor to the fire wall. I'm not complaning. I just figured it would have been closer.

I would come help you Alan, but I can"t work with white cotton gloves on...
How can you do all that work in one day and not get one finger print, smudge, grease spot or anything anywhere? Hell I can't open my beer without them little grease finger prints on the sides of the can.

Is the frame and the top of the cab the same color?

I'm amazed:metal: Very sharp work
