Drove the old burb to tyler today to go to a movie and get its inspection sticker renewed. It is the first time with the new converter to tyler. I like it so far. Adjusted the e brake so I should have no issues passing safty inspection. Wish me luck.

I could not find a place in tyler that had a inspector today. Picked up a nail along the way too. Thankfully it didn't go past the tread. Will try to get it inspected tomorrow after work.

Re: 85 burb meets 6.0 lq4

Well I passed my inspection a few weeks ago. Even with leaking radiator. (Only leaks cold thankfully). It has been on daily driver duty due to the colder weather here lately. It has been in the upper 20s and lower 30s in the mornings and my beetle does not have a heater. My coolant leak has gotten a lot worse so i found where I purchaded it from on eBay and got a hold of the warranty department and sent them some pictures and they warrantied it. I was very worried they were gonna pull some bs like lots of ebay stores do. They emailed me and said "unfortunately they don't have any 2row cores in stock but.....we can upgrade it to a 3 core for no additional fee to me. Would that be ok?" I said hell ya send it to me. This was monday or Tuesday of this week. I came home from work and found the radiator was at my door step! Opened that bad boy up and found it had polished tanks and was a nice wide 3 row. Could not be happier. The store on eBay is radiators4less. Very good customer service. I can't wait to install it Sunday.

They use champion radiators. The only down side is where the old dad was clamped down on the tank seam is not on the aluminum rad. I still need to fab up some new upper mounts. But this wider one may be better.

Well I got my radiator swapped out yesterday. I was able to reuse my fan set up from the two row. Over all this 3 row fit a lot better. So if anyone is going to get a champion all aluminum radiator get the 3 row. Test drove it and all was well. It even hold pressure now yay!!!!!!!!! It also make the under hood area look better due to the shine!
