I dunno.... dirt is STILL softer than pavement or concrete....... I feel much more comfortable jumping a 60' table than I do anything that involves landing on pavement...

Thats such a nice Blazer! Looks awesome. The 11.1 in your signature, is that referencing perhaps a 1/4 mile time? The motor looks awesome as well. What are the specs on it?

Boy - you have got that right! I was bench racing with another moto head today and remarking about how 50 - 60 ft tabletops turn into 90 foot ones later on in the evening after 3 or 4 adult beverages.

Leather suits and body armor undergarments help a lot with SuperM though-- plus the fact that you are usually going 50 mph less than a road racer. But like anything else, you can still get hurt.

I personally have to face facts as a self employed man that, if i get hurt, i might lose my income for a while, so i am totally calm on the doubles, but bring on the tabletops! Plus, as you get older, you learn to appreciate a perfectly executed bermshot!:phat:

AMEN!! ;)

The group I ride with are all over 40 so I completely understand the table-top-adult-beverage-growth phenomenon.....

We practice alot of vicarious living through alcohol.....

Yeah the last time I commented about not getting hurt, I crashed and broke my collar bone...

Yes, this was a custom interior that I did about 12 years ago. This winter I am doing leather and swade. Here is a pic of the new door panels that I just got, I will end up covering them in leather. Here is the site to get them from:http://store.73-87chevytrucks.com/merchant2/
The guy that has this site is a member on here Captkaos, he will hook you up.

I just sold my supermoto wheels, I wish that I did not sell them. Do you have pic's of your 500? Here is one of my CR500.

I meant to ask this about the black blazer before, TVB, but is your interior totally custom or did you use a seatcover kit and a few other custom pieces?

Re: New Blazer pic's..

Mine is still in moto mode -- i have been searching ebay(and other places) for a set of hubs that i can lace a pair of 17's to. The bike is totally outdated and is borderline too powerful for todays track designs, but the grin factor is so worth it when you twist it on a wide open GP type track. Of course with a CR500, you already know all this.

The SM conversion is in the back of my mind, but my main chore now is to sell my 250 2 stroke and replace it with a 450 for general purpose riding (but as much as 2 stroke 250's are depreciated now - i may have to keep it for a spare "buddy bike" if anyone visits

Sweet ride, you will have a blast. The only thing I could not do was keeping it on the road and I am talking about ridding too fast and keep hitting that ditch. But I had a blast doing it. The only way I ride is wide open.:metal:

Thanks man.. Sorry that I did not get back to you..

11.1 is the compression of the motor. This is a 400sb 30 over that made it 406, Dart II aluminum heads, 292 comp cam, air gap intake, 750 holly Double pumper. The truck has ran 8.3 1/8 before. That was with street tires. I am having problem with transmissions now. I my get a 4L80E. Well see..

Made some new side back panels for the blazer today with the subs in them. I just need to make up my mind what color I am going with. I think black is the safe color, you can not go wrong on Black on Black.

I also got a new console out of 95-99 chevy truck and I just payed $25.00. That was sweet.. :metal:

Re: New Blazer pic's..

Are those panels going to angle down like they are in the pic or are they just not installed all the way? I'm going to be building a sub enclosure for mine as soon as i figure out if I'm keeping the back seat. I was thinking about building the sides out (to compensate for sub/box depth) but I really dont think it's going to look very good.

I was thinking something like this

Hey your the one that has to live with your decision so you do what you thinks best. If I didn't really like your Blazer I wouldn't care if you put lime green in it. Since I do like it, I can't help but throw my unsolicited opinion out there.

If red is to loud for you soften it up and use something from the brown/tan family. I got lots of ideas, just ask my wife...;)

Re: New Blazer pic's..

I am looking into doing something like that, but using some parts from rod doors http://roddoors.com/pages/tunes-dir.html.

I have not made a box for my sub yet, it's not even pluged in. I just have it in the hole for now.

Real nice blazer!!! Do you happen to have a pic of how them rod doors doorpanels bolt on. I'm assuming plastic clips and or modifing the door skin. Trying to do something different than stock on my c10.

Thank you...

They are just hanging on right now. I have to cover them, but when I do they will have clips with double sided tape and velcro to hold them on. I very happy with them and the cool looks. I will be posting pic of the door panels and seats in about two-three weeks.

hey man, i think this is an awesome build. you are doin a great job, i would be honored to work on something this nice if you want me to. my partner has seen this blazer at a car show at powell high. he remembered it from a while back, too. by the way do you want the sub boxes covered with a material or do you want them smooth and paintable? this will be killer man.

Re: New Blazer pic's..

Thanks man..

I just need them smooth out and I will be covering them later this year. I should have some time later this week to meet up with you. If you like I my need you to come out to my house to see it, the top is off the blazer and it is going to be cool this week. Just let me know.

Thanks,
Trav
