Re: 66 suburban build
Nobby,
I have something for ya.. PM me so we can figure out how to get this piece out to you.. The three screw holes look pretty rusty, but I'm quite certain you can run a tap through them and they'll be just fine.. -John http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...n/100_2304.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...n/100_2303.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...n/100_2302.jpg |

Started smoothing firewall today..My brother inlaw drove up just in time to do some grinding:metal: Frame is in better shape than I thought so I'm gonna wire brush it myself and save some $ on blasting. Progress should start picking up again..

Re: 66 suburban build
Nobby--looking good.. Please take a bunch of photos of the roof eyebrow repair.. That's gonna (presumably anyway) be the toughest repair in my mind on my Burb.. I won't be to that point for a bit.. But like mentioned by others that's a common problem area on these trucks.. I will definitely be referring to your build when bodywork on mine begins..

Wiring and also started on the roof repair. We figured what would work best for us and cut the new panel in half, fit the ends and fill in the middle.

Re: 66 suburban build
Yea Hemi, I welded the seam.. If I don't like the look of it being smooth I'll just grind me a swallow 1/8'' groove to look like the factory seam..Thanks again for the wiper mount..

Re: 66 suburban build
Cool... As I was considering the same... Once I cut that part-depending on what's lurking inside-I may weld too.. It'll be another month or two before I get there..
