A little more progress. I hated to do it but I had to Relieve the firewall on the Driver's Side.

I didn't like the first return spring so I swapped to this good ole cheap one.

I have to do a little touch up?

We got a pair of Skinny radials. They are like what you would find on a VW!

Re: DJ JR's Build Thread

I was tired of looken at the leaf spring rear end so I took it out and removed all the unneeded brackets from the rear frame. I was hoping the rear end under this truck would be the same width as my truck and they are really close.

I need to get a rear bumper so I can tell how much room I have to mount everything in the rear.

I hope to crank it before I go back to work on Tuesday.

What suspension setup will you be doing? Ladderbar/coil-over? Trailing-arms/coil-over?

I will have to pry him out from in front of the TV. He is an absolute football fanatic. He has Games and practice all week and tries to stay glued to the TV on Saturday for every college game that is aired. His favorite team Alabama has a night game this week so maybe I can get him to help me Saturday!

I wish I had some extra cash and a couple weeks off work. I would be driving this thing!

Re: DJ JR's Build Thread

I have cable in the shop but no room for a decent TV. I gave Cade the Tv I was gonna put in the shop. I usually listen to the radio and DVR what I want to watch.

Hey Kevin, is that 650cfm double pumper even big enough for that big block?

Great progress at any rate.

Congrats Cade on a very nice build!

its a good place to start off a 14yr old. When he learns to drive well it will get a bigger one and some nitrous!
