I'm sure whatever mirror you use, it will look bad to the bone. I scrolled back up and looked yours over, gotta say I'm partial to those jr's that's on it :).
How's the progress on your short bed?

Killer truck. How do the rims fit? Do they rub at full lock up front? Whats the backspaing and tire size?

Whats the part number on the carr steps? Did you mount them on the rocker panel or frame?

No rubbing except maybe in extreme flex mode. If I remember right the back space is 5in with 315s mounted on 16x10 wheel vintiques. Very happy with them. Everything is new,so anyone with say saggy mounts and such may encounter problems.
As far as the steps, I don't remember there being a number, but will look. Got them from a board member.
I did rocker mount them, but also added a bracket that hangs from the cab brace, and extended a bracket "to" the frame. It's not attached to the frame, but the frame takes some of the load when stepped on. Floats with the cab if that makes any sense lol.

Just found this, nice build. Love the way it turned out. I didn't see it in the thread but what size wheels and tires did you go with?

Thx guys. Been driving the s..t out of it. In fact, brought it to work today. As most iowa guys know, the weather has been crap lately, so been a few weeks trying to stay outa the mud.
Just toxic, they are 316-16's

Thanks! I'm in process of doing a conversion myself and trying to get an idea of what tire size will look like.

Shawn,

Love the build! Iowa guys think alike! Going to pick up my 68 on Sunday, since you are so close, let me know the next time you have it at a local show. As you can see I have some work to do... Have any parts left over?!

Steve

Hey Farmer,
I'll be at new Virginia old settlers on the 8th with the truck. Maybe see you there.
Did you get the truck? Looks like a great start. I like that black...

Just picked up a 72 C20. The guy claimed the 402 was replaced with a 454. The deck # that is stamped in front of the head is CE3328940. Chevy said it was an old crate engine, but clu3less as the year and HP/T rating. Anyone have any ideas?
