thanks guys, I have 16.5 x 9.75 steelies but they may be too wide so now I may go with some old school 8.25 wide aluminum slots with 33x12.5.

Can you clarify for me. The engine cross member moved ahead 2"and back 3/4"so a total of 1.25" forward ? Or am I misunderstanding.

Re: New member with barn find

Sure, I moved the Engine cross member forward 2" to the existing holes on top of the driver side frame rail and the transfer case cross member was mover back about 3/4".

Thanks for the update. Who did you get your fuel and brake line sets from? What was the fit like?

Re: New member with barn find

Inline tube, very nice fit with only minor tweaking.

Re: New member with barn find

Truck looks great, nice choice again on the tire/wheel combo. Just noticed the top is different than most Blazers, how come it has bars on it. Is it an optional top. Looks interesting.

Coming together really well John. That Hickey roof rack sets it off.

Re: New member with barn find

Got it inspected Today, now I can drive it around and work out the bugs.
I got the rugs in but I still need to recover the front buckets and finish the rest of the interior. Eventually I'll get the sidewinder winch installed.

Re: New member with barn find

Thanks guys, Hey Dusty I got the blazer exhaust system from summit and made it fit. I was surprised how well the tail pipes fit around the tank and over the axle.

Re: New member with barn find

Update pics, I took the blazer out for it first highway ride and it did very well. It handled very nice at 60-65 and with the converter locked up it was happy at 70.
I'm almost done with the interior and I even got a chance to take my sidewinder winch apart. I just got all the seals and bearing in so it will be going back together soon.

Re: New member with barn find

I finally got my sidewinder winch installed. The winch came with the front angle iron but I had to make my own frame mounts. Also had to make the cross bar in the rear. I still need to mount the solenoids, run the wires and get the brush guard installed.
