Nicely done on your signature, very respectful! Honestly, I don't know how I would handle it after 37 years. Anytime ya want to talk, ya got my numbers

You can do it!

And thanks, I will take you up on the offer one day soon. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

Check in to the ship on the 6th and probably be haze gray and underway. Thanks for the wire tags. Might be able to get that done while I'm waiting to fly out to the ship.

same boat. a guy painted my father-in-law's 70 truck in like 97 or 98. My 69 rusted so bad the cab was sitting down around the mounts. I tried for years to buy the 70 from my brother-in-law. He finally gave me the truck and I thought I had something by running my hand along the bottom of the rockers and visually checking, eyeballing. Brought it home and in the same boat as you, the guy overlayed the rockers. Tons of work now. Scott

Re: PO has me PO'd

well, got the electric rad. fan running, man does that Jeep /Chrysler fan blow/suck

Kinda Rube Goldberg, but I have to get a new fan shroud anyway. M&H did it again, just hooked the black and blue wires up, and grounded the temperature wire out, put the key in the on position and success. Removed about 2 inches from the shround, where the fan mounts up
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...eplace14-3.jpg

I may change where M&H broke out the wire, right now it comes out up at the rad. bracket. I think that it would be cleaner if I break it out down by the relay. I'll call them Monday and see if they mind

Got the info off of a thread on the pickup board awhile back. A guy in northern jersey came up with the idea, supposed to be a factory fan outta a cherakee. I'll see if I can find the thread for ya. How's your floorboards coming out?

Re: PO has me PO'd

Thanks, they turned out really good thanks for the info. I have gotten my whole cab done all of the cancer is gone and just have a couple of welds to clean up/hammer dolly. Now i am just trying to figure out whether to pay to have it blasted or strip the rest of the years of paint myself before painting.

That fan just looks slick. I wonder if you could epoxy it in the hole.

As far as the stripping goes, depends if you have time or money. Good job for you and your son to spend some quality time together. PPE, ventilation, and a good stripper and it won't be a bad job. JMHO

Thanks for providing a link to your build, great work! Now I can watch what you're doin'...outstanding welds

Thanks J...that's what is great about this board, we get to watch what everyone else does, if you like the idea, you can go with it! Seems like a no brainer to me, 40 or 50 bucks and a relay, minor modification to factory shroud, and you have a system that moves more air with less HP loss

Tough call on the epoxy, some plastics don't work well, and I have two differant types of plastic, sooo...I'll try to buy on the classified section

Now, get back to sanding:lol:

Re: PO has me PO'd

Well, rethought this thing again. Seems like the 2WD fan shroud is going to give me the most room, including the area down around the lower rad. hose.

I changed the way the PO of this shroud had it mounted up. Cutting off the two side mounts and just using the lower bottom mount for orientation. There is a gap of about 1/4" between the fan and the shroud, filled it with single sided sticky weatherstrip tape and screwed it in about 5 spots for now...seems pretty solid, but I can add 'J' clips if needed in the future

Jon, if you need info on the relays I'm using, LMK
Chrysler part # 52079528AB
Bamms part # 0481-0320J

Thanks 1SIK52 for the rear harness
Also picked up some 67/68 side moulding, waiting for clips from Wes @ Classic Heartbeat

Re: PO has me PO'd

Was told by Wes that there are inferior repro clips out there, so we got them from Mar-K, not disappointed even has a rubber grommet behind nut so it doesn't scratch the paint
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace166.jpg

I realize this has nothing to do with getting the truck running, but after 3 years of searching ( Thanks D. Passmore, Quality guy, I would buy from him again) I just had to see what this moulding would look like on the truck! An issue popped up on the rear wheel opening as the radius is differant on the blazer/jimmy then on a pickup truck. I see a fix, but want to try it first on a junk moulding
