Hey Eric,
Who's truck is that in the picture? The 4x4 one?
That's a different color than the one that's in your garage....

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I am into super smooth but those are slick and play on the trucks' history so I think they'll flow great. If you got painted...maybe not....but with the chrome on a chrome bumper....they'll set it off nicely....

...and if you don't like them I'm sure you'll have no problem selling them because they look AWESOME!!!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I would buy spacers from billetspecialties or find some one with a name you can trust. billetspecialties wheels are made in the usa. Alot of there other products are not like there valve coves and things like that but there wheels are so I would look at there spacers. Just my 2cents. Wheels look sick and it did not cost 5500 so you are doing good.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

thanks i appreciate it !! and yes i am just a poor carsalesman in a bad car selling economy so for me to get billet wheels this is the only way, maybe next year i can send the back to off and get them rehooped with an extra 2 inches of offset Budnik said about $700 to rehoop the pair

The bumper gaurds look pretty cool. Do you have to drill into the bumper to install them? I only ask because it'd be nice to be able to pull them off/put them on when you feel like it.

67cheby 02-22-2011 12:49 PM

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

the guy i bought them from says that the bottom hole of the bumper to frame hole gets taken out and you replace it with a bolt from the backside of the bumper into the bottom bolt hole on the guard, you leave the upper bumper bolt in and there is a little bracket that loops over the top of the bumper . however in the pic i posted of the other truck with them on they arent covering the factory bumper holes so i am not sure completely , my bumper is in my attic and i havent gotten it down to look yet

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I think the ones on the blue truck are mounted to fare out. I could be wrong but I dond recall them being out there that fare.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

i think they would look better where the factory bolts are , especially if that is the way they are supposed to be mounted

You can see the gap at the bottom where the curve of the bumper doesn't match the guards where the blue truck has them located.

They were meant to go over the top of the central bumper mount bolts like you were told. I had a 68 that had them stock and that is where they were.
