Wide ‘70 rear axle, converted to 5x5 with 71-87 axles. Prolly could use the clearance from the bedside of the narrow housing, but I like the look of them pushed out. Loaded up and ready for the long trek. Getting her on the trailer was a harrowing experience, due to the extreme low stance, but we made it work. Sure looks good sitting up there. Super happy with this stance :chevy:

Why does your Frame look Bent up words in the pic? Me I've never could understand why people put newer beds on their trucks I can understand about the LS motors parts you can't see But to me, it miss matching parts. It's like me trying to put a Comino bed from 1957 on my 1964 shortbed. I guess that's why this is the USA.

The frame is straight (or as straight as these old frames can be), it was the way the previous owner mounted the bed that made it look crooked. The new-style bed was a super-cool thing to do in the 90s when those trucks were new. Thankfully, we’ve remedied that. To each his/her own, as they say. Not my favorite look either...

It does look good sitting there. The wheel sizes are what I thought they were but I forgot you were utilizing the wider rear housing. I wish they made a 4" BS for those.

Safe travels to your new destination. I'm betting we'll bump into one another again.

As soon as I saw Holley was releasing it, I returned the FiTech immediately and put the TermX on order. Liking it very much, so far. Super easy to setup and fired up on the first try. No real time driving to comment on the learning capabilities, but all indications are that it should be good.

I just had her out the other day for a quick ride. The thing feels great, and the engine gets smoother and more powerful every time I drive it as the Holley continues to learn.

Also toyed with the idea of painting the tailgate letters, but I didn’t like the look on this truck, so I settled on painting the tailgate trim black. Much better now.

I’ve also been dealing with a few oil leaks, which I despise. Bought the super-expensive blue Felpro valvecover gaskets and solved that issue, but had to pull the trans do deal with the rear main leak.

While trans was out, I decided that I wanted overdrive, so the Muncie went on Facebook marketplace and was gone within a few hours. I am now scrounging pennies and looking for a good deal on a Tremec TKO (thanks to smbrouss70). Good news, my bellhousing runout is within limits and is TKO ready.

Oh, and another big thanks to Steven, once I saw the Dakota RTX gauges, I knew I had to have them. The New Vintage are gone and have been replaced with a Black Friday deal. Merry early Christmas to me :chevy:

...also did the “Jeep Fan Mod”, which puts a modern 2-speed fan inside the stock shroud. Needed minor clearancing for the upper radiator hose, but all in all pretty happy with the ‘stock’ look of it.

I thought LS engines weren't supposed to leak, isn't that how you told me to fix the leak on my SBC?;)

Edit: If you sold the Muncie, what trans do you have in it to drive it around today?

Apparently LS rear mains blowout if your PCV isn’t functioning properly (I have a fix in the works for that, too). The video is from a week ago, last drive before I tore it apart.

Oh, and it’s not blame, it’s giving due credit :lol:

Do you hvae part numbers for the upper and lower Radiator hoses? They may work on our LT swap.
