The Times Picayune did a story on our Local Coffee Company called Community. Good taste in delivery vehicles.

Community is the coffee I drink! Can't find 'Seaport' near by.

Here’s one supporting an X-15 mission in 1961. One of the B-52s that carried/launched the X-15 does a flyover after a mission.

Not a bad size if you don't print it to large.

Very Cool! What a great picture! The X-15 and that early B-52A with the dayglo paint. That photograph looks to have been be taken taken at Edwards AFB. That B-52A was and is at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson, AZ for many years and now has so much corrosion they are not sure what to do with it from what we were told by someone that volunteers there. Very expensive to fix even for just display. You can see it at Pima Air Museum in Tucson in the back area where they started to take off all the paint to figure it all out I guess.

Very cool picture, thanks for sharing. I used to live at Edwards AFB and then lived in China Lake off and on for years. About halfway between the two is a tiny mining town named Johannesberg, must've driven thru it a million times (and usually behind a gravel truck from Trona...), as well as all the back roads and shortcuts surrounding it. Back in 2004, I was invited to the dedication of the Mike Adams X-15 memorial out in the middle of the desert. His final X-15 flight crashed in the desert just east of Johannesberg in 67 and, at the speed it was traveling, scattered parts for miles. The memorial is located at the approximate point of impact and is made of some of the same material used to build the X-15. I don't know if the cool pic of the X-15 above is the one flown by Mike Adams, but there were only a handful of them built. He was an American Hero if there ever was one and was posthumously awarded his astronaut wings. Sorry this has no truck relevance, but near and dear nonetheless..

The one in front of Advance was posted on their Facebook feed recently, reflecting on an anniversary. The other is downtown Franklin, TN in the ‘70s.

The pictures that many have contributed is like walking down memory lane. Thanks to all for making this time capsule. In one of my pics here is my 1965 C10 getting ready to haul asparagus. That’s my sister on the picking machine in Bangor MI

Family photos are my favorite.
What year was that picture taken?

SBPage1 06-28-2019 12:57 PM

That has to be around 71-72. When I got the truck, it had a flatbed on it. Michigan winters and salt were hard on vehicles. We literally towed this thing out of a field, threw some fuel in the carb and it started right up! It was magical. For a 16 year old farm boy in 1976 you would have thought I won the lottery. This truck took me everywhere on all of my adventures. Those were the days
