You need a new yoke.

Re: SoCal checkin' in

It's not perfect. If the u-joint caps seat firmly it should be ok. You may want to replace it sometime in the future but when you do you will want to replace the crush sleeve, seal and the outside pinion bearing. Be sure to not over tighten the u-bolt nuts, it will cause a vibration. I think 25ft.lbs. is the proper torque.

I'd clean that yoke Hospital Clean before trying to button it up as it's pretty rough looking .

You might find a P/N casted (raised numbers) in it , write that down and take it with you to the P-A-P yard as there's thousands of good yokes and they're easy to change , just remember to change that bad oil seal at the same time and to follow the simple Dealer Flat Rate trick when doing it so you don't ruin the gear mesh .

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Im going to have to agree, after you clean it up, try mounting the driveshaft, if it mounts up tight and no slop or play. Go for a test drive, if you dont feel any vibration I would say your good until your ready to change it.

But again, you have to feel safe before you can drive your truck. Trust me we all understand.

Guys,
Earlier today I sent John over here for some advice because I could not think of a better way for him to get like minded advice and local sources/contacts.
Being up in the desert probably 90 miles away I'm not much help and airbag installtions are pretty foreign to me as well.
