Yes you can put a 69-72 hood on a 67-68 but you cant put a 69-72 grill into 67-68 fenders.
I dont think the 67-68 grill will look right without the slant nose hood though.

Someone may have had them anodized green I have only seen them in natural aluminum and painted, usually black with the ribs sanded down. I had a couple sets in the past, traded my last set for some vintage aluminum bowtie valve covers.

like these.

Looking at the 67-68 grill you just got does it look like you can piece the two together to make one good one?

Today, I wired wheeled the right front fender. I found a small hole in the front and rear of the fender and a little repair inside of the fender and that was all what is wrong. a solid fender from a 70 GMC 3/4 ton.

Sounds like you are getting quite a collection of parts built up, they will undoubtedly come in handy.

Re: 1968

When I think I have all my parts cleaned or painted, I turn around and I find another parts that I missed. So today I sanded and painted the over flow bottle craddle. I also brought a six blade flex fan. I will put it up, where I don't know. I am starving for room.

Made a different move. Not going to use the 69 grill and hood. I just did not like the way it looked. I am sure it would work, but my truck is a 68. SO I found a 68 with good parts and guess what It is mine. Got another cab today. It has the same damage but it has a good kick panels and the roof is in great shape. so, I scrape the 69 cab and started again. It is only time and I can get this one done a lot sooner. and less work and money.

Also, I cleaned up more parts Saturday. My wife said that i can't keep buying old truck parts. That I have to make a stand or draw a line in the sand. She just don't understand my thoughts of madness. But, it will be clear to her one day.

Today, I cleaned up the new cab. Getting it ready for sand blasting. Installed new dash so it could be blasted at the same time. Some one before me cut the radio hole and it needed to be fixed.

Holy smokes that cab is in really bad shape, I dont really see how its in any better shape than the other one, but then im not there to look over every square inch of both cabs like you are and I cant see what you are seeing.
Then again you should have seen my original cab it was truly beyond saving, it makes yours look like a diamond haha

Well, the roof is in good shape and the fire wall is in good shape, and the rain gutters are also in good shape. the rest of the damage is the same as my first cab. But give me a little time and it will look good.

Today, I welded and grind and welded and grind. A place needed some work above the wind shield and 6 inches in length. But it turned out real nice. Now I have to do the other side about 2 inches. Anyway I got the whole winter to do this cab. It was cool here and a little mist in the air. But weather is good working weather here in Florida. No more heat till summer.
