a steeringrack i ordered while i was there at a shop next to his garage "didnt arive on time" and looked like it was trown of a 4 store building (powersteeringlines where busted )

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I've heard nothing but good news about Trevor. I hope my experiences are different.

Are there other options for dually wheel adapters?

heres the 19.5s im putting on my rig. I plan on getting some 22s for my other truck but i need to know which ones to buy cause i want to keep my wheels under the dually fenders. And do you run 6 22s or Keep inside rears as 16s?

Just a follow up on this... Trevor and I couldn't reach an agreement on shipping for the wheels. He also stated to ship just the adapters to me would be around 250-300 dollars. I HIGHLY doubt that is the case and I think he may have been overinflating the cost to discourage me from making a purchase. (Just so he wouldn't have to find actual shipping costs). I am now working with another vendor on getting a set of adapters shipped to me, and picking up a set of new 22.5's locally.

Another update,

Why does it seem that all the vendors I contact regarding dually adapters seem so shady? Of the three places I have contacted I got inflated shipping costs, the vendor lost communication then forgot the conversation we had via email (even when the communication is clearly below the newest email) or I just get a bad feeling when speaking with them.

Does anyone know a trustworthy vendor I could place an order with?

Those adapters are very heavy, they are 1/2" thick steel that's why you are seeing high shipping prices.

try to find some second hand ... maibe on www.duallyscene.com seen one on there :
Here is my set of 6 wheels that I ran for the past year, I'm going a different direction with the truck, so these are going. There are 2 standard polished front wheels, 2 rear inner Alcoa wheels, and 2 special offset rear wheels (known as townasty wheels) The special offset allows them to sit flush in the wheel wheels in the rear, with no modification. Also included are 4 adaptors to fit any standard 8 bolt truck pattern from Ford, Chevy or Dodge Dually, lug nuts, stainless caps, and low profile domes. Everything is included. Tires have approx 1000 miles on them, and look like new. Tires are Sumitomo HTR sport 263-35-22.
$3900
Take a look at cost on this setup, this is a great deal.

Thanks for the reply fellas, I'd like to pick up a set of 22.5's since I don't feel like lowering the truck. In most circumstances a 1 ton sitting on 22's with a low profile tire just looks odd to me.

are you going to put low profile tires on them ?
if so you might scratch the front rims on the sidewalk should you get to close to it , sooner so than with single wheel type rims as they stick out about 1.5 to 3 inch outside the tires
steering geometry is going to be slightly off as the front rim put the tires in more
the rear fenders need to be widened unless you dont raise the truck good thing is that the tires stick out ore making the truck more stable
unless you buy brentz rims that are 8 bolt you need adapters
if you put normal trucktires on them they last about forever again you might need to raise the truck to get them to fit

whent to look for a pic of the brentz stuff and found this i hope it helps

I'm going to most likely go with tnwheelandtire townasty 4 wheel package. Except go with like a 285 40 22 which will carry 2601lbs then run a inside tire to match which would be close to a 235 85 16 at 2800lbs

know the guy unfortunately if you buy from him pick it up youreself and only pay after you get everything hes not verry good at aftersales , allso his garage adres isnt the adres on the website thats the adres of some restaurant there (i whent on holliday from europe to pick my stuff up and he never mentioned it even after i gave him the heads up that i was on my way)
he does have the correct adapters though heavy steel ones and the townasties will help some with the rear fenders , you might still need a different (chassis cab or breadtruck ) rearaxle to bring the wheels in even further

You won't want to do that. 285/40R22 is 30.9" tall, 235/85R16 is 31.7" tall, you will want to be much closer in height. Maybe you meant 285/45R22? That is 32.1" tall, closer, but with the shorter inner tire, you will wear that outside tire much quicker. Also keep in mind the load ratings, whatever you see on the tire, subtract 10% from that, so your 2601lbs tire would be 2341lbs, then again, for using Pmetric tires in a LTmetric application, subtract another 10%, and you are down around 2100lbs. Not only that, no matter the weight rating of the Pmetric tires, the sidewalls are still weak, and you will get significant flex out of them even aired way up, nice for ride, horrible for handling and towing. You will get that squishy feeling going around turns, and with a significant load on them they will heat up, breaking down the tread faster and potentially blowing out.

I think the smallest E rated 22" tire you can get is a 285/50R22, and not many companies sell that size. I know Nitto makes a terra grappler in this size.

That is, if you actually plan on using it, otherwise put what you want on there.

I really want to be able to haul my 24ft enclosed trailer with It. With a car in it I'd estimated is weighs 6500-7500lbs

should be doable as long as the loadrating of the tires can take it

those look real nice , i seen 24's under the same year truck and there just too massive , these fill the wheelwells nicely and the tires have the correct loadrating
both the tires and the rims be more available across america too incase of a blowout (most of the lower class non commercial licence motorhomes are running 19,5 " rims )
