I bought them from lug nut king off eBay. He sells both the bullets center caps and the bullet lug nuts. I pail around $30 for the center caps. Just measure your center hole on your wheel. I cant remember what size mine are. I had to shave out the hole my wheel a tad. Not much tho

So, I did a little work this week. Found out my truck had 3.73's with an eaton posi. I thought it had 3.55's but I miscalculated. Also remember I am running a muncie 4 speed. So I am driving about 50 miles round trip for work. I am using the 66 as my DD. I was spinning 62 miles per hour at 3000 rpm. You can imagine my gas. $25 a day or so. So,,,,, I swapped in open rear end with 3.08's.. MUCH BETTER. Now I am doing about 65 at 2400 rpm. Talk about a life saver!!! Just not a fast out of the hole any more.

I jumped around in few blazers and jeeps for a while but decided to make the 66 my DD. I love the truck so much and realize that I am not gonna get as much out of it as I have into it. So screw it I decided to drive it everyday. Now that I can afford the gas, why not right? Besides I bought my wife a new H3, so I still have a cool GM 4x4 to trick out.

I've got a 3.08-12 bolt sittin in the garage, waitin to be swapped with the 3.73. Lookin forward to a little gas relief.

I just swapped a 3.08 into my orange '65 last week too. I love it. Better top end and doesn't wind up the RPM's so much.
Glad to see you're keeping and using the '66.
Jack

Jack, chevytrucknut, I owe it to you... You were a good influence. I could not bare to sell it after seeing all the new projects you have coming. Also, I got the 63 grill blasted. Now I need to prep it for paint.

I'm glad to hear you decided to keep her. I think I looked at your ad about 900 times trying to decide if my marriage was worth it. I really can't believe it didn't sell at your asking price.

I hear ya, I really did not have much interest in it. Lots of people called and wanted to trade. And trade Ford's. Who asks that? I was appalled. I am really looking for set of 15x7 Astros, Coke bottles or some chrome smooties.

Any body out there have these in a 5x5 lug???????????

Here's a link for Astro's. Seems to be a good price. It's what I plan on putting on my 72 as soon as I get back from deployment.

So, This week I am gonna drop off my almost perfect 63 grill that chevytrucknut(jack) scored for me and have it powdercoated. I have a guy that is gonna powder coat it and make it look like polished alumium. I cant wait to get that on. Then Jack and I are gonna build a tall boy shifter that sticks up by my window. Then I am gonna rebuild the front end and do new springs, lower control arms etc. Summer is coming and I cant wait to show off this bad boy.
