Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Do you still have these available? I have a 72 C10 original 350 that I would like to upgrade to serpentine setup. I also am running a vintage air system so I need the correct bracket to adapt the compressor.
Let me know, Rick |

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
Tom,
So that I know what I am getting myself into, let me see if I understand what I will have to do to make this work on my 72 C10. Buy your kit minus clutch and fan - I am running electric fans COST? Buy a reverse flow water pump for 88 Chevy 350 setup - $35 Figure out how to mount Vintage Air compressor on this unit - ?? Also, what kind of gadget do I need to find to use this alternator with my year of truck? Is there an aftermarket pigtail or something that you are aware of. Appreciate the help here, Rick |

25.00 less for the kit minus the fan and clutch. Yes on the 88 up water pump. It reverse rotation, not flow. I can't amagine that Vintage Air doesn't have a bracket kit to mount the pump in place of a R4 GM pump. You would need the pig tail plug for the alt which is available from any GM dealer and probably other sources. It is a internally regulated alternator vers the 72 had a external regulator. It's my understanding that you can eliminate the wiring and regulator and run a single wire to the new alt. Many guys here have done this, you might tap them for some info. Hope this helps. Tom |
Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I bought one of these conversions and had the alternator reconfigured internally by an alternator shop to a one wire alternator and it works great. This was much simpler than rewiring the alternator and wiring harness of the truck.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
What do I need to buy to run this setup without an ac compressor? An idler pulley?
Thanks! |

Re: Serpentine belt conversions
I need a price for a conversion for Small Block with Vortec heads. I do not need a Air Compressor since I have a A4 adapter to Sanden. Shipping is to 33548.
Thanks so much. |
